Canonical Suit Filed Against Catholic Senators Kennedy, Kerry, Collins & Mario Cuomo
De Fide ^ | 21 January 2005 | Marc Ballestreiri

Join the Class-Action Lawsuit

21 JANUARY 2005 UPDATE:

The Denunciations for Heresy and other offenses against Canon Law have been filed against Senators Edward Kennedy, John Kerry, Thomas Harkin, Susan Collins, and Mr. Mario Cuomo.

All of the Briefs have been expanded, bifurcated, and translated into Latin to conform to the utmost with the exact letter of the law contained in the Church's official doctrinal and juridical documents. As such, on Monday, 24 January 2005, at the National Press Club in Washington D.C., Lisagor Room, the new Latin forms will first be made available to the public so that all concerned and interested may join the class-action ecclesiastical lawsuit as soon as possible.

Those who have not already are asked to fill in the contact form below in order to be notified by e-mail as to when they will be posted and available for downloading.

A Press Conference providing the new joinder forms and fuller details will be held 24 January 2004, 09:00 a.m. at the National Press Club, in Washington D.C., Lisagor Room.

Thank you very much for your continued prayers and support.

* * * According to Canon 1476 of the Code of Canon Law, from the point of view of capacity to sue, ANY ONE, be he Catholic, non-Catholic Christian, Jewish, even just non-religious may file a suit and plead before a Catholic Ecclesiastical court or judge.

All Americans have grounds to defend the inalienable right to life enshrined in the Natural Law and Declaration of Independence, and as such, this case is not just about a heresy against a 2,000 year-old dogma of the Christian Faith.

In order to join in filing the class-action denunciations and lawsuits, your contact details are required for us to be able to keep you posted on the status of the case.

IMPORTANT:

To join the suit costs NOTHING if you, as plaintiff, believe you cannot afford the fees for the handling of the case by the Court. Normally the costs are far less than ordinary cases held in U.S. courts. The most important consideration in this matter, as far as the Church is concerned, is the Repairing of Harm to the victims.

De Fide again. Anyone can draw up such a suit. Getting it heard is another matter. I hope everyone understands that this is not an official Roman Catholic Church organization and that this suit is likely never to be heard.

"I hope everyone understands that this is not an official Roman Catholic Church organization and that this suit is likely never to be heard."

Any Catholic or non-Catholic can file such a suit. However, Mr. Ballestreiri is a reputable canonist and has the backing of several U.S. bishops and at least one Vatican Cardinal.

This case will be heard through the Church's liturgical tribunal and he has 4,000 or more people who have cosigned the lawsuit.

Every Catholic has the right to issue such a suit. However, in this case, believe me, the homework has been done. This is NOT the end of this. This is ONLY the beginning.

I have nothing left but contempt for the Catholic church. The leadership hypocricy, at least in Boston in nothing short of amazing. They can take their canon law and shove it. I hope they lose every last cent to the sexual abuse lawsuits.

It was real good of them to do this before the November elections. /sarcasm

I guess we are all entitled to our opinions. But what your outburst has to do with the article... Well, that is another issue altogether I guess.

Perhaps you should seek out a confessional?

This has nothing whatsoever to do with elections. This has to do with the scandal of heresy and the potential damnation of souls.

Did it ever occur to you that the abominations that are addressed in this suit, (left unchallenged until now) are one of the reasons the Church was infested with heretics.

Giuliani is a Catholic, and he is pro-choice. Why isn't he included in this? I'm as conservative as the next guy, but I don't favor playing politics with Church law.

If the suit is successful, the punishment will be what? Shuffling them around to different states?

There are specific reasons the individuals chosen have been chosen. Some of it has to do with their bishops. There are more, but this is a one-man canon lawyer doing this on his own.

Translating everything into Latin and researching the exact Church language in previous cases of heresy and scouring Church documents.

More will probably be added once these are processed.

Great point! Unfortunately, the "RUU-DEE" chorus in most GOP circles usually drowns out such clear, reasoned thinking.

I'll be the first to admit that I don't know the reasoning, but could it be that Guliani was just a mayor of a large city, while the others were either in the Senate or (Cuomo) a governor?

I may not agree with Guliani's views, but he wasn't exactly in a position of power vis-a-vis abortion in the same way that a senator or governor is.

I could be wrong, but I don't think the canon law court is concerned with someone's opinion, but rather with their actions.

Is there any other way to be excommunicated? I've wanted my name stricken from the rolls for years. I can't find a way to have it done...

1- These are politicians, aren't they?
2- Did the church just realize the mistake?

Why does a godless atheist want everyonre to understand this? Any Catholic can file such a petition -they don't have to be an "official Roman Catholic Church organization".
