Saturday, January 22, 2005

http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,145152,00.html

BOSTON — One of the 13 Chinese nationals allegedly involved in a terror plot against Boston was in custody and being questioned by authorities on Saturday, FBI sources told FOX News.

Authorities were interrogating Mei Xia Dong about her involvement in a possible terrorist plot (search) against Boston that was made public in an FBI report Friday......

I imagine we have more than one and it's our guys waiting on the other end of the cell phones, manning the Car Rental joints etc.. Watch enough of this stuff on TV and it makes the plots too easy. There's a China Town in NYC, yes?

That list of names has reached 16, according to other reports:

http://www.taipeitimes.com/News/world/archives/2005/01/22/2003220495

The names are part of the same anonymous tip that led authorities on Wednesday to announce that they are seeking to question four other Chinese and two Iraqis. The new names bring to 16 the people being sought for questioning.

I just caught a sound bite on Fox earlier this morning, but they said the mexican could have given this report because he was ticked that he didn't get paid all of what he was owed by this group, and decided to make their lives hell by indicating to the feds that this group was involved in terrorist activity, but they really weren't and just stiffed him for his smuggling fee. Like I said, I just caught a tidbit about this. Anyone else hear this??

We can speculate anything we want. At least he led the authorities to the correct city.

The Mexican may have family in Boston and that may have been his motive to stop this.

"It seems there are so many other dangers in our society that end up getting ignored — housing, homelessness, poverty — that are in some ways more threatening," Odams said.

God it never ever fails does it. Guess what dumbf__k, if a dirty bomb goes off in your neighborhood, homelessness and hunger aren't really going to matter much!

Like I said, I just caught a blurb about it while getting my daughter's breakfast ready this morning. I didn't hear a source, or anything else as to how the 'revenge' factor was even mentioned, so yes, at this point, I guess it could be anything. Just wondering if anyone else had heard that. Hpefully by day's end we'll know something.

When did we piss off the Chinese enough to turn them into terrorists

A lot of Chinese live in Indonesia, the Philliphines, and other Eastern or Pacific Ring countries. Indonesia and the Phillipines are both hotbeds of Islamic terrorism. Dont count on an Islamic terrorist being of Middle Eastern appearance. That doesnt always work. For example there are plenty of Black Moslems in this country and dont forget a few like our California Johnny and the Pedilla character.

Also in Western China there is a very large Muslim population that has caused problems with attacks and some bombings.

There is no evidence yet that these people are involved in a terrorist plot yet. It will be interesting to see what the interrogation reveals.

From the article on Fox News it stated they were waiting for "nuclear oxide", what is it?
