Both games are outside in the cold, looks like the snow has cleared up, but the fields look highly unpleasant, in other words: perfect football weather.

Thanks! I searched the NFL website for 10 minutes looking for game conditions. Get the question answered in less than a minute on FR - twice!

If the Falcons and Steelers both win sportswriters will spend 2 weeks complaining that the two best teams aren't in the Superbowl.

What are Steelers fans thoughts on the QB wearing gloves? ESPN was saying it was a disadvantage, but as I don't really follow the Steelers (or trust the talking heads) I was wondering what fans thought.
He has announced that he's wearing gloves for the game. Does that change predictions?
To: CounterCounterCulture
For once, Ed Rendell said something that I agree with: If the Steelers and the Iggles face each other in the Superbowl, the game should be played in State College, PA.
To: CounterCounterCulture
I have no idea who will win, but I cherish Championship Sunday more than the Super Bowl.

I think players should be comfortable, with gloves or without doesn't matter to me. I think the problem comes in when a players only wears gloves in cold weather, there's an adjustment period that contains bad play, it should be a commitment to wear them or don't year round.

Sports writers are mostly all jock-sniffin, penil-necked wannabes.
Some are cool, but most don't have a clue! Who gives a sh*t what they think!

I think that's the problem. From what I understand, the Steeler's QB doesn't usually wear the gloves. Of course, with the weather they're expecting I would wear gloves...
To: ForOurFuture
Sounds good to me!
My pick on the winners is Pats and Falcons.
Then, Falcons take it in the SB.

WIth the weather there I'd be wearing Joe Namaths old coat, and maybe a couple of his old girlfriends too. Guess that's why I watch and don't play, football is best played in weather I'd rather never see in person.

IMO, most Conference Championships are the best part of the year. And I must take it all in on the radio. I like to think the best way to take in a game is on the radio. You get a much better feel for the progress/regress of the teams. At least that's what I'll keep telling myself.
Can't wait to hear this on the radio:
Doc: "McNabb rolling out to his left. Looking for an open man. He just slipped through one...ohhhhhhhhh nailed for a ten yard loss. That's going to put Philly at 3rd and 15 on their 40 yard line."
Then Marv Albert will explain how it was the receiver's or the offensive line's fault and how Donovan McNabb lifts school busses off old ladies and wears an S on his shirt with a matching cape.

The Pats are down at least 3 defensive starters... Who's the third? I count Seymour and Law.
The Pats didn't need Law to hold the Colts to 3. The shouldn't need him to stop Roethlisberger.
