i have watched the committee hearing and the Sentate discussions.To e honest with you,i saw Democratic sentors making asses of themselves world wide. I don't remember the number but they all said oretty much thry same tyhing.Pretty lame. Howmcan they possibly muster any support form any group.
They are now doing the same thing at the Gonzales hearing. If they have a game plan,it is very hard to disearn.

No, friend, the rejected was Maynard Jackson of Atlanta. Jackson had the DNC chairmanship locked up until the Clintons started lobbying the delegates to change their votes from Maynard to McAuliffe. After McAuliffe got the nod, the Clintons relegated Jackson to a "token" position in the DNC (chairing some sub-commitee on something or other).
Maynard Jackson died in 2003. I nearly fell out of my chair when Clinton spoke at the funeral after what he'd done. Word is that after the elections of 2002, Maynard Jackson was quite disgusted with the direction of the party.
