"Researchers estimated that more than 2 million years of life were cut short due to premature death and loss of healthy life because of a disability attributable to sexual behavior."

That's okay, I only wanted to live to 1.5 million years anyway.

Speaking of cognitive dissonance, Newsmax's front page headlines, "King says democracy can't work in the Middle East."

Any conflict of interest here?

But not among homosexuals, right? It's just happening to the repressed, unenlightened, straight people, right? Everybody knows that AIDS and rising rates of STDs among gays and minorities is the fault of the current administration.

What about insurance companies....it is statistically proved that engaging in "risky" lifestyles (smoking, overweight, drugs,) drive up health costs....so companies are saying you smoke you have to go.....what about homosexuals that are involved in "risky lifestyles". Should the same be applied to them? It is proved that it costs more to cover domestic partners, yet county by county city by city they are offering these benefits. It is just wrong.

Freedom from God's laws...isn't freedom... it's death...

Satan's big lie...that rebelling against God's laws is freedom and liberty

This is the kind of 'liberty' promoted by the Godless and idolaters which in reality
leads to no freedom at all...just slavery... slavery to ones lusts, to insanity, to illnesses both in the individual and eventually in cultures made up of such individuals.

The loss of all freedom...and the death of nations...is the price of moral relativism.

This is the kind of 'liberty' promoted by the worshipers of the moon goddess Baal-Ishtar-Isis-Diana..."Lady Liberty"....some of the many aliases of the first rebel as he/she spread his/her religion of 'freedom' throughout the history of mankind...

imo

I know Oak Park fairly well. It's right down there with the People's Republic of Evanston, IMHO.

I know both fairly well, but think that Hyde Park tops either one as a bastion of socialism.

Very true. A few years ago the company I worked at switched insurance companies. We had to fill out some forms for health insurance and it asked about risky behavior outside the workplace. The insurance company considered 'small aircraft pilot' to be risky behavior. I, like you, wonder if homosexuality will now be put on those insurance lists. It should be (although I won't hold my breath waiting).

Not to downplay this, but the number we're talking about here is 30,000 deaths a year. Every year, about 2.4 million Americans die of all causes combined.

That means that sexual behavior is responsible for about 1.25% of all deaths in the US every year. It's not even in the top ten causes of death.
