Posted on 01/27/2005 7:23:36 AM PST by tomjohn77
I am all for whaling, but against killing the wolves. In Norway we have a very small population of wolves. More sheeps die from falling down cliffs and other natural things than being killed by wolves. Actually more sheeps are killed by another wild animal. Whales on the other hand there are many of in the sea.
That's deep, man. Now pass the reefer.
Do you smell ozone? (It might not be justified in this case for a silly and pointless vanity about nordic wolf populations.....)
So are you saying that Wolves killing sheep is not natural?
Welcome to FreeRepublic..........May you post long and prosper!
Maybe the whales are killing the sheeps.
How about if we go whaling, using wolves as bait?
I'll not rest until the wolves are trained to kill those good for nothing whales.
This is a whale of a proposition.
BTW, I support arming both wolves and whales.
Take my whale, please!
Wolves are a lousy source of blubber.

If you are actually interested in posting items on FR, I am sure someone will be so kind as to direct you to the posting rules. I take it that English is not your native language, so you did pretty well, if that is so. The plural of "sheep" in English is "sheep."
The wolves are running the sheep off the cliffs so the whales can eat them. The whales and wolves have been allies for years.
Save the whales, collect the whole set.
Or pickled herring for that matter
What are you trying to discuss?
Whaling bans, endangered species protection (or lack of it) and raising sheep are three separate issues.
How are they related in your mind?
If you are trying to compare wolves and whales as endangered species, you're in trouble. Wolves can be raised in semi-natural conditions and released. I don't know of any facilities that can raise and release similar numbers of whales.
And while you're at it, what is this "other wild animal" that kills sheep in Norway? Bears?
I saw a documentary one time about this wolf that would show up to work, clock in, and proceed to stalk sheep all day. This sheepdog would clock in as well, and foil most all of his attempts in rather humorous ways.
This wolf even had a disguise to make him look like a sheep, and he had this wierd ability to hover in the air for a second or two before falling off a cliff, just to make sure that you knew he was about to fall.
Any of youz guys have a whale suit I can borrow? It's about time I got back into fishing.
In America we we have had a speciation event and we are now overrun with sheeple. If you run low on sheep, let us know.
Sheeps wolves dogs seals cats....why favor one over the other? Just rid the earth of every one of Gods creatures...it's happening anyway.. I think you're just playing favortism.....you're rotten.
keep hunting fair, arm the animals!
First of all Wolves are not a treat to Humans. Whales is a long time source of income for Norwegians. The other animal is Called Jerv in Norwegian. Dont have a clue what the name is in English. "Natural" course of death is falling of cliffs, getting sick etc
You never know. Maybe the whales are wearing wolf disguises and sneeking up on land to eat the sheep.
I swear I saw a whale dressed as a woman the other day walking into Home Town Buffet.
1) She was very large
2) She smelled very sour, like old fish.
3) Her teeth were replaced by baline
4) she hoovered foot into her piehole much like a large sea mammal.
Save the whales until we get more tarter sauce!
Yeah but not in public. Walking around with your zipper down is not cool.
We have a similar problem here in Nebraska, sir.
One usually associates "deer" with woodlands, meadows, forests, trees, and all that, but there have always been plenty of deer on the wide open prairies.
In fact, they can be a nuisance here (property damage because motorists accidentally collide with them); I read somewhere--definitely not an envirowacko publication though--that Nebraska today has more deer than it has ever had since the Creation, despite our rather easy deer-hunting laws.
well just stating my mind. Short and brief. There are many Whales in the sea around Norway, but few wolves.
Oh Yeah then why is it ok to walk around with your pants so low that the crack of your ass is visable for all to see. That is supposed to be cool isn't it. I protest!!!
Yeah man, I hear ya. There ain't too many wolves in the sea around here either.
Mr. tomjohn77, what you've just posted is one of the most insanely idiotic things I've ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent post was there anything that could even be considered a rational thought. Everyone on this thresd is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul!
Oh so as long as their as income to be made, it's ok to kill them off? How do you feel about cockfighting, fox hunting and dog fighting?
This includes you.. ;p
Well as most Norwegians I am for Whaling and against killing Wolves. Whats the problem? Just kinda wanted to see if anybody was for or against Whaling and killing wolves.
Yeah thats the right animal. Do you have it in the states?
There are many Whales in the sea. It has been a source of income for Norwegians for a long time. There are enough whales, hunting will not hurt the whale population
They want to kill 25% of Norway's wolf population.
Norwegians have been whaling for a long time. The whale population is quit big.
The whale population is quit big.
Well Norwegian Scientist are monitoring fish and whale population.
My fellow posters make light of this. Perhaps your concerns would be better understood if posters would just recall that you Swedes wantonly killed all but a handful of your native emus and jack o' lanterns not that many years ago.
