Irans Khamenei warns EU may reconsider nuclear cooperation(AFP)
29 January 2005
TEHERAN - Irans supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei warned European powers Saturday that they must take their nuclear negotiations with Iran seriously, otherwise Tehran will reconsider its cooperation.
The Europeans negotiating with Iran should know that they are dealing with a great, cultured nation... if Iranian officials feel that there is no seriousness in the European negotiations, the process will change, Khamenei was quoted as saying by the Iranian media.
His comments followed the emergence of reports that the EU was hardening its stance towards Iran and calling on Tehran to completely dismantle its nuclear fuel programme in order to guarantee that it does not seek atomic weapons.
Iran, accused by Washington of trying to build an atomic bomb, has suspended uranium enrichment as a confidence-building measure but the EU now wants the Islamic republic to definitively abandon enrichment as well as any activities for making plutonium.
I know Iraq and Iran are different.
What goes on in Iraq affects the regime, directly or indirectly.
Too bad they don't have a separate thread here on Fr. We are very different than them! I hope you remember that!
And Iranians affect Iraqis. They can't affect us neither directly nor indirectly
Today in Iraq will affect tomorrow in Iran.
It is called "the revolution of rising expectations".
Khamenei will be dancing the Ceaucescu this year, which is to say he will be a dead pig rather than a live one.

Can we PLEASE just overthrow Iran's stupid excuse for a "government" and MOVE ON?? I'm REALLY tired of reading all the Iran threads...
Enough talk - I want to hear bomb explosions!
Fortunately, you need to read all Iran threads cuz no body s gonna bomb my country!
Hey - I MIGHT be suggesting that YOU blow up those stupid Mullahs, you know...
I know what???
"You know" is an idiom.
I'm saying, it doesn't matter who gets rid of Iran's idiot Islamic fundamentalist government, as long as the world is rid of it - in fact, it would be *better* if the Iranians did it themselves.
I'm just tired of the eternal waiting for somebody to do something about it, while the mad mullahs play for time while they try to get their nuclear weapons technology together. I'd rather someone would blow them up, than sit around and wait any longer.
