Thanks for the ping. This was the photo that accompanied the article I posted on 1/28 [Fireball seen over Madrid]. I did not post the image, however, because it appeared to be a generic "file" photo. That's what I thought after a careful read of the caption:

A shooting star streaks across the sky during a meteor shower. Residents of the area near Madrid airport reported seeing a ball of fire explode and disintregrate in skies over the Spanish capital overnight, security services said.(AFP/NASA (news - web sites)/File)
