Be interesting to see what ype of crowd they get. Bethesda/Rockville corridor is full of Iranian expats who had to leave after the fall of the Shah.

The Washington DC metropolitan area is also full of folks whose relatives, friends and work associates were held captive by the Iraqi government at that time.
The guy setting up this event wins the "stupid is" award for 2005.
Marriott probably ought to pull their employees out of there lest they be harmed in any way.
This is truly a dangerous situation.

The date chosen to hold this celebration, February 6th, is closely associated with the Iran Hostage Crisis, in which Islamic fundamentalists, acting under the orders of the Iranian Government, stormed the U.S. Embassy in Tehran and took 52 American Diplomats hostage, holding them for 444 days. Huh???

I've just remembered something; in 2003 the jihadis blew up an American owned hotel in Jakarta, Indonesia. Twenty people including security staff at the hotel were killed, the name of the hotel? JW Marriott!
What the h@#% are they thinking of?
