He repeated the assertion a few times, which seemed to win favor in parts of the audience (the anti-US crowd) and cause great strain on others.

There ought to be retribution for slander against our troops and aid to enemy.

This is the same guy who admitted CNN overlooked Saddam's abuse so they could keep operating in Iraq. Look it up anyone who doesn't remember.

Somewhere the words were uttered.

"Quick somebody come up with a story to offset the damage done by the election in Iraq!"

Hmmm...sweet justice? Hopefully they were wearing CBS, NBC, ABC, AP, NPR and any other anti-American, anti-military bulls-eyes. I have ZERO compassion for the MSM and neither do alot of other Americans...

Isn't this the fellow that was being paid off to not report Saddam's atrocities against his own people?

The guy is clueless

Well, he got called out by Barney Frank, of all people. That's probably retribution enough.

Just not buyin' it. Of course I'm sure that there have been some soldiers that *wanted* to frag the stinkin' lefty journalist pegged to tag along with them... but I'm not believing that they ever did...

But then again... so what if they did? :-P

Not even a good start; too bad it isn't true.

Let this jackass go make that claim face to face, eyeball to eyeball, up close and personal to a group of our military. Make him PROVE HIS ACCUSATIONS in front of our military. He doesn't have the guts!

LGF sums it up:

http://www.littlegreenfootballs.com/weblog/

"...I think Mr. Jordan ought to be asked to produce proof of such an outrageous accusation—and if he cannot produce that proof, he should be asked to publicly apologize and resign."

There really should be consequences for this sort of thing. Anyone have some POCs for his employer?
