No, I added that so someone scanning the threads would have more information as to who Williams is and therefore might be interested in the thread rather than passing it by. "Williams Returned to Tyler" wouldn't grab my attention unless I remembered the kidnapping of Megan Holden. I was attempting to give some clue as to who "Williams" is rather than just "Williams returns to Tyler." And I shopped at that very Wal-Mart yesterday afternoon and thot of that poor girl most of the time I was there .. in mid-afternoon.
Sort of like "forcible rape."
aggravated kidnapping?
Thanks for the info, makes sense now.
Thanks - and prayers for her heartbroken family, too.
Is the alternative an accidental kidnapping?
Did a search to find the difference:
"Kidnapping is an aggravated form of false imprisonment. It usually involves the transportation or concealment of the person.
Aggravated kidnapping varies by state, but can include the kidnapping of a child, kidnapping for ransom, kidnapping for the purpose of committing another crime (such as forcing the kidnapped person to commit robbery), kidnapping for the purpose of committing a sexual crime, or kidnapping with the intent of harming the person."
So the charge of aggravated kidnapping in this case makes sense.
I always thought that to kidnap someone you had to transport and conceal them.
I am not trying to give you a hard time, I just think the lawyers are playing games with words.
"I always thought that to kidnap someone you had to transport and conceal them."
Thats correct, reread my last post, the first part about plain kidnapping states what you just said.
Sorry, but what is 'MSM'?
Bring back public hangings.
As a friend of Megan's family, let me say that after Williams family was on national TV, they have insisted that he was not the same (sane?) person he was prior to his time in Iraq. Getting set up for an insanity plea?? What do you think?
