but Trason Brooks suspects another cause: "She wanted me in prison the rest of my life ... In her mind we're getting married, we're having kids, we're going to be happily ever after. I made it clear to her that's not what my intentions were."

What a weird thing to say about marriage but typical of guys his age.

I think you may be mis-reading his intended meaning here.

As I read this, he's saying that she wanted him, literally, in a real prison for the rest of his life. In her mind, he deserved it because he wouldn't go along with her fantasy of marriage, kids, and happily-ever-after. She had her (and his) life all planned out and he wasn't willing to cooperate.

Her mental condition may in all likelihood insulate her from prosecution, i.e., not guilty by reason of insanity.

Isn't that how Lorraine Bobbitt pleaded? (pled?)  I recall Rush once commenting that this has become a popular plea for liberal women criminals....a resounding endorsement of the Feminist movement.  "I'm guilty but I'm insane so that means I'm not really guilty and so you can be lenient with me, right?"

You may be right. I wonder if there was any clue to her psychotic nature. I was in a situation where I refused to see certain signs till it was too late. Some men will put up with a woman's bad behavior if she's gorgeous.

This woman needs some serious inpatient therapy. She's a menace to society.

Is Orlando anywhere near Palm "hanging chad" Beach? What the heck, is EVERYONE corrupt in Florida. I like Jeb Bush alot, but of the State has ANY authority over local jurisdictions, he ought to make certain someone in that local PD and prosecutor's office are in irons.

And I don't mean "9 irons".

My best friend went through this thing, when his wifey decided at age 33, with 3 kids, that he had manipulated her into marrying him at age 19. (He had just graduated from college at 22, and she was from a broken ("I want out of here...anyone-will-do") home). So, she takes a hike leaving her kids with two different neighbors everytime he goes on a business trip, so she can shack-up with her long-lost-true-love rock'n roll boyfriend.

After she about drives him broke, and he comes back to his house a half-dozen times with not knowing where she stashed the kids, he got tough. She got her girlfriends attorney, who began explaining to her how to get the most out of her life (damn the kids and certainly him). If she just bailed on him and the kids, she got little or nothing. So, she staged an event where she started beating up on him, and when he firmly grabbed her by both arms, and lifted her up, planted her on the kitchen table, and pointed his finger at her and said "stop this **#$##$", she responded as she had been trained. She called 911, accused her hubby of beating her, added a few self-inflicted bruises, and shaSamn - there were a half dozen cops out to his house, holding him down, hog tying him, and carrying him away for a little stay at jail. She filed a restraining order against him the next day, along with divorce papers, and demanded full custody of the kids, the house, all the money, and $3500 a month alimony and child support. Meanwhile, he played "super-dad" trying to be both Mom and Dad to the point where it hurt his job(s) (yes, the first, second, etc.). He went from an up and coming Regional Sales Manager, to a bum trying to keep any job, his house, his kids, food on the table, etc.).

Well, to make a short story long, he was behind the eight-ball from that point on. The courts backed her 100%, even though she left the kids repetitively. They spent most of what he'd stashed for his kids college fund(s) on divorce lawyers. The kids were messed up. Their beautiful little girl tripled in weight .. the other kids were good but still messed up. And mom "found herself", over and over again. It was all about "Mom's needs" from that point on.

Bottom line: I lost all trust for local law enforcement. It started back during the "child abuse" witch hunts in the 90's, but this and a few close-and-person experiences with friends who have been railroaded by politically correct law enforcement, forever changed the way I view the Justice system and cops in general.

Heaven knows insanity was disreputable enough, long ago; but now that the lawyers have got to cutting every gallows rope and picking every prison lock with it, it is become a sneaking villainy that ought to hang and keep on hanging its sudden possessors until evil-doers should conclude that the safest plan was to never claim to have it until they came by it legitimately. The very calibre of the people the lawyers most frequently try to save by the insanity subterfuge ought to laugh the plea out of the courts, one would think.

Suddenly, Saturday evenings alone with a stack of DVDs looks quite a bit more attractive.

LOL! Aw, c'mon. We're not all like that!

And by the way, I'd like to take this opportunity to point out the fact that, once again, this psycho-witch is a bottle blonde, not a genuine blonde. :-)

You're welcome  :-)  Actually, in retrospect this looks like a better and more satisfying way for you to start the day than just a cup of coffee.

Just because Disney owns Orlando is no excuse for Mickey Mouse to be in charge of the PD
