He should not be allowed to call himself a Christian.
Pro-life ping.
What is it with IL. Remember "Christ Hospital" in that state was/is doing the same?
He is not Christian, regardless of what he calls himself. Sorry everyone but evil is just that.
Please FreepMail me if you want on or off my Pro-Life Ping List.
I wouldn't be suprized. The first word in our phone book is ABORTION and there are about 2 pages.
Hope you don't mind a few pro-Life Christian calls from Maine, cuase I just posted this on http://www.christian-news-in-maine.com/february05-2005.htm It is the last story on todays edition and will be there for the week.
As a pastor in the LC-MS let me say this: it appears that this fellow is indeed a member of the clergy roster of the LC-MS, based on the fact that I just found his name on the clergy roster of the LC-MS in the big book I just took down from my shelf. Let's see if he is properly dealt with, assuming that this information was not public knowledge prior to this, or at least no one knew what he was aledgedly advocating. Will he be dealt with correctly (i.e.if you advocate(d) this you must resign and publicly confess your sin to the entire church) or incorrectly(please help us out here, in such a way as to create a win/win situation where no one has to repent or look bad). My own guess is the latter, not the former. I retain hope, allbeit little, that the right thing will be done, if indeed all of this is true. However, from my experience many pastors in the LC-MS do not understand the Law and the Gospel and not too many seem to care. It also appears that faithful preaching, teaching and pastoral practice in the LC-MS are out of favor. Only God and His Word can save what appears to be the sinking ship of the LC-MS.
I didn't write the editorial, but I wouldn't think the author would mind -- the more people who know about this the better, it's disgusting.
I hate to say it, but I was unaware of the Lutheran position on abortion; however, I assumed Lutherans were pro-life. I do not know how any Christian or Jew could claim to be faithful and support infanticide.
This sounds like the same hospital that was in the news a couple years ago when congress was debating the partial birth legislation. Some congressman brought up the procedure of "live birth abortion," were the baby is delivered...and left to fend for itself without any life support.
The baby eventually dies from respiratory collapse and failure. Disgusting.
But for some reason, the leftists are far more offended by pictures of panties on a terrorist's head than they are by images of an infant gasping for it's last breath.
Yeah...it's sick. For some reason "cruel and unusual punishment" also comes to mind when thinking about this.
Just because he is a pastor in the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod does not mean he is a Christian. There are many wolves in sheeps' clothing among the clergy because there is no more discipline administered against the practitioners of their real religion, the Rodney King religion of "Can't we all just get along?" And besides killing God's children is good for the bottom line of the hospital. I'm sure Jesus is sickened by the cross on the roof of the killing field that they call a hospital.
Thanks for "correcting" me, you are so very right!
evil is everywhere...even within the churches...
The ELCA is already toast. Seems like the MS is under fire too, but that does suprise me. If your leadership cannot be counted on to lead, then where are you being led? You might consider the Lutheran Brethren or an Independent Lutheran congregation.
