It's called the Island of Hope - a plot in the middle of Holy Rood Cemetery in Westbury where abandoned newborns are buried.
Infants with names like Innocence and Crystal and Destiny, all given the last name of Hope.
Yesterday Nicholas Hope and Allison Allen Hope, babies found discarded three months apart last year, joined them.
"We're sad we have to do this," said Timothy Jaccard, who founded Children of Hope Foundation, which provides the burials. "Still, it gives them dignity."
The babies received a full honor guard service at St. Rose of Lima Church in Massapequa, their tiny coffins arriving with a police escort amid bagpipe moans.
His was draped in blue flowers, hers in pink.
"The send-off was fit for a princess and a prince, and that's how it should be," said Shannon McGowan, 30, of Massapequa.

I love the cops who do this. This always makes me proud to be Irish American. People like Ted Kennedy and Michael Moore should have their ethnicity revoked.
Now why did the screen go a blurry when I got to that sentence? These are some great great Americans.
I got a little teary eyed too.
