Lengthy...read more at the link. Wanted to post it because Jay Sekulow from the ACLJ made the list. The list includes Rick Warren(author of the Purpose Driven Life), Howard and Roberta Ahmanson, David Barton, Douglas Coe, Charles Colson, Luis Cortes, James Dobson, and many more.

Bump for later.
I wonder what the list would look like for the 25 most influential Muslims.
Howard & Roberta Ahmanson: The Financiers
David Barton: The Lesson Planner
Doug Coe: The Stealth Persuader
Chuck Colson: Reborn and Rehabilitated
Luis Cortès: Bringing Latinos To the Table
James Dobson: The Culture Warrior
Stuart Epperson: A High-Fidelity Messenger
Michael Gerson : The President's Spiritual Scribe
Billy & Franklin Graham: Father and Son In the Spirit
Ted Haggard: Opening Up the Umbrella Group
Bill Hybels: Pioneering Mass Appeal
T.D. Jakes: The Pentecostal Media Mogul
Diane Knippers: A Think Tank With Firepower
Tim & Beverly LaHaye: The Christian Power Couple
Richard Land: God's Lobbyist
Brian McLaren: Paradigm Shifter
Joyce Meyer: A Feminine Side Of Evangelism
Richard John Neuhaus: Bushism Made Catholic
Mark Noll: The Intellectual Exemplar
J.I. Packer: Theological Traffic Cop
Rick Santorum: The Point Man On Capitol Hill
Jay Sekulow: The Almighty's Attorney-at-Law
Stephen Strang: Keeper of "The Faith"
Rick Warren: America's New People's Pastor
Ralph Winter: A Global Mission
I'm suprised that neither Janet Parshal nor Hank Hanegraff made the list. But Rick Santorum did?
ACLJ ping! Jay Sekulow: The Almighty's Attorney-at-Law
This list is racist. They didn't include Jesse Jackoff.
I woulda included R.C. Sproul, but I guess having Packer on the list is close enough.
Thanks for the thread. I need to get the print version.
Diane Knippers is a personal acquaintance.

The heathen left out Jan Crouch.
I think I just lost my breakfast. UGHHH!

As impressive as that list is, they missed the most influential evangelist of them all. The Christian on his knees who is holding that list before the throne, asking the Holy Spirit to empower the preaching and sharing of the Word is the most influential of all.
I have never been able to understand why Jan makes herself up as she does. I turn to another channel when Jan is on TBN.
...And she expects to be taken seriously?! I think not.
ping
I have major issues with Joyce Meyer. I used to listen to her on the radio and I think I read one of her books years ago and I started realizing that she was one of those "name it and claim it" types. So unscriptural. It scares me to think she is influencing so many people. I heard Tony Evans on the radio over the weekend and he was specifically castigating this type of preaching/philosophy.
The great David Barton is on the list! Wallbuilders.
They can only think to call Joyce Meyer, "the feminine side"? She's one tough broad.
Me either!! I don't understand why a woman wears PINK, BIG HAIR!! And the tears!! She cries at the drop of a bucket!! She must have gone to the "Tammy Faye Bakker School of How-to Sob"!!
That whole genre belongs to another generation. That's why she is popular. The same people still worship St Elvis.
Interesting list. Joyce Meyers does nothing for me. Like the Crouch's, she's just another person who got rich off Jesus.
Yeah, the problem with Hank Hanegraff is that "the freaks" he "exposes" includes abolsutely everyone who doesn't believe exactly as he does; he finds one verse in scripture, with no context, which sounds like it supports his own personal opinion, and everyone else is an enemy of Christ to him.
Gee, if they're gonna start naming Catholics, why not go woth the big guns: Justin Cardinal Rigali, Abp. Edmund Burke...
I noticed the same things about Hank Hanegraaf. I got to where I couldn't even listen to him anymore.
I don't always agree with Hanegraff, but I find him very informative and thought-provoking (to agree or disagree with him, or do my own research), which is usually a good thing.
Most would have warrants for crimes against humanity.
Looking at many of the names on the list we should be comforted that Time's magazine of most influential is not the Lord God's list! Notice they didn't say most biblical - just most influential. Still, they left off the One who is the good news (evangel)- Jesus Christ!
Maybe it's all the sequins she wears. ;-)
Regardless of what one thinks about her, one of the funniest things I've ever heard is when she said (and I paraphrase):
"You worried about getting the victory over the forces of evil and you can't even claim victory over a sink full of dirty dishes."
Maybe it is because he could be classified as a psuedo christian.
Both are equally bad. Hanegraff is at the point where he is doing Satan's work by turning Christian's against one another and creating divisions and hatreds which Paul warned about. However, false teachings need to be exposed and admonished but by the following the Biblical prescription in dealing with these matters.
I heard Tony Evans on the radio over the weekend and he was specifically castigating this type of preaching/philosophy.
Tony Evans is the man!
