Harry Reid has it coming, nine ways from Sunday. I've known he was a baldfaced liar from three months after he was first elected. He campaigned in support of the US Balanced Budget Amendment. Then, when it came up for a vote, he cast the deciding vote (it failed by a single vote in the Senate) AGAINST the BBA.
Reid's whining about this RNC document simply underscores that it is correct, and he is a liar.

Other than this, he's ok, right?

Reid was for partially privatized Social Security and up or down floor votes on judicial nominees before he was against them.
He's the new Democrat obstruction, constipating the Senate as his predecessor Tom Daschle did.

I was actually very surprise by Reid. When I first heard he was going to be the lead Dem in the Senate, I thought that was a good sign, that the Dems would try to moderate themselves.
It doesn't make sense to have a Senator from Nevada being the obstructionist in chief. If they wanted an obstructionist...they should have picked someone from a safe seat.
Then again...the Dems just don't make sense.

Poor old Harry Reid. He just wanted to be independent like Nevada, but now he's found himself in the political sunlight. I hope he doesn't burn up. :) Hehehe!

They are too arrogant to accept the results of the elections.
Their thinking was that a 'moderate' Dem as the face of the party would be enough to swing Indy's and blue collar Dems. Trouble is that once someone becomes the minority leader of the Dem side of the Senate, they are forced to hold the line for Liberalism.
People vote on records when they are made aware of how someone stands. Daschle was defeated when his record was made known. A 'moderate' face isn't going to change the record.
Not that Reid is a moderate. Reid was the only one willing to travel with Hill on Thanksgiving to Iraq. The same thankgiving when G.W. stole the spotlight. ;-) He had those markers lined up to replace daschle before the ballots had been marked. Word is that he played an active behind the scenes role in forming the obstruction Dashcle took the public face on. No chance he was ever going to be anything but an obstructionist.

Reid was the only one willing to travel with Hill on Thanksgiving to Iraq. Different Reid. Jack Reed (Rat) RI went to Iraq with Hil, not Harry.
