I don't know. Maybe to visit her mother in Roland Park? Maybe to visit her old friends in the Baltimore area? Maybe she's maintaining a residence in Maryland for tax purposes? Maybe to visit her boyfriend? Maybe her boyfriend is the Mayor?

There's no proof of any affair here, as far as I know. The ironic thing is that FReepers basically concluded the same thing on the thread the Washington Post is using to claim NCPAC was spreading rumors. The thread was posted in part to try to figure out if the rumors were true.
