Skip to comments.News! It is so Snowy in Maine this AM That I Can't Get to Work in My 4 Wheel Drive with Diff Lock

I went out at 530 this AM to drive the fory miles to work. I have a 1/4 mile driveway but I was unfazed. Until I backed my fourwheel drive with diff lock on out of the garage. The snow was so deep and packed that it just lifted the body up. I managed to crab it into the garage, and called to say I would be late.
I called my plow man and his wife said that he was out and stuck in his two ton plow rig. He was waiting for some help to arrive in the form of his giant tractor plow.
Haven't seen a snow like this for a while.... and I am no wuss.
When I was a kid in the snowy north, the power wasn't so stable.
Sure does make you wish for some of that global warming we hear so much about. All kidding aside, good luck.
The power is on here. Five minutes east of here it isnt though. Have had calls from friends asking whether there is any school.
Spent 11 days without power a few years ago.
Hang in there buddy. I know what its like.
Good excuse to have a beer (or 6) for breakfast.
75 and sunny today.
The tractor just arrived.
Time to go to work. Wish me Godspeed.
This Global Warming's Hell, isn't it, neighbor?
Where in Maine are you? I have a sister and brother-in-law outside of Bangor. They live in the sticks.
I moved to Florida from the Northeast 20 years ago. I really don't miss fighting snow storms like these.
Which diff lock do you have?
Don't sell yourself short - you're a great wuss. < / sarc >
You guys are definitely getting buried up there. Thank God for the northward shift in the storm track. We only got about 4" instead of the 18" predicted as late as Wednesday afternoon. The weather folks definitely blew it this time.
Enjoy digging out.
D**n global warming!
Isn't that redundant? Maine is the sticks, came from there myself.....
Have you considered drinking a lot of beer, and "tinkling" a path down the driveway?
That needed asking!?! lol, down here if there is more than 2 flakes it's a snow day for schools.
Delightful tag line.
