Glad to hear it - BUT, nothing against one of ours - BUT

I am tiredof campaigning.

Couldn't we give a bit of a rest?

When do any of our elected officials do any work?

This is a good thing, right?

I think that this is most decidely a bad thing, for the following reasons:

1) Mark has not built up a state-wide rep which would give him an advantage, and I don't think that he has much of a record that captures people's attention.

2) Personally, Mark strikes me as a Rick Lazio-type - someone who's too ambitious for his own good, and who will sink in deep water. The goofy photo of him with President Bush says it all. So does the horrendous campaigning against St. Patty; to try to personally attack her was a blindingly stupid decision.

3) His decision to run for the Senate after his seat was recently re-districted does not bode well for keeping the seat. Same mistake Rod Grams made after leaving his seat after one term - Bill Luther came in and held onto it until he was essentially re-districted out and beaten by Mark. I'd lay odds that St. Patty wins. Mary Kiffmeyer is not a good candidate (and I say this as the son of a good friend of hers).

I also see that Rod "hey, let's win me a seat in Congress, then dump my wife for a staffer and have the rest of my staff leave me" Grams thinks he wants to run again. Complete loser and disaster. Look up the word "complete phoney" in the dictionary and you'll see his picture. Lots of fun stories to tell about this dickweed.

My state Senator Michele Bachmann is going to run for Kenedy's House seat. I'm sure others will jump in too, but Michele will be hard to beat.

They are still going to hold the "Thank God, Paul Wellstone Is Still Dead Festival And Ballot Box Stuffing Frolic" aren't they?

The last installment of that was held in St. Louise County Minnesota on November 2, 2004. Should have been there...

Michele will be an awesome candidate. I am close to someone who has been involved in her campaigns, and who can't say enough good things about her.

Michele Bachmann is pro-life anti gay marraige and hot. The press will attack her like never before. We have to stand by her big time.

I think you're mistaken for a couple of reasons. First of all, the 6th CD gave Bush 54% in 2000 and a bit more than that in 2004, and if we have a good candidate run we should hold the seat, especially with Pawlenty running for reelection. Also, when Rod Grams left his House seat to run for the Senate in 1994, his House seat was made more Democratic because the MN Democrat legislature redistricted in mid-cycle to replace a court-drawn plan (which liberals conveniently forgot about when they whined that the TX GOP legislature acted ultra vires when it redistricted in 2004 to replace a court-drawn plan), and that's why Luther won the seat in 1994 while Grams won the Senate seat. In any event, even if the Mark Kennedy situation is really just like Grams' situation, I still think Kennedy should run for the Senate, since I'd much rather have one more GOP Senate seat (1 of 100, and 1 vote closer to the 60 we need to break a filibuster) than one more GOP House seat (1 of 435).

Great news that a strong female candidate is running in the MN-06. A Republican woman is needed to counter the "save missing children" mantra of the RAT. Talk about milking our own tragedy for all its worth.

Michele's Congressional website is up and running. She wastes no time. I like that.
