1000 calories ? woah !
Cyclists are real men (though road cyclists are far more macho than mountain bikers).

heh heh, notice that like most of us, he picks a sport he likes and sticks with it, he's not out doing something different every other weekend: skiing, snowboarding, windsurfing, biking, etc.. like Kerry did during the campaign :).

I'm pretty familiar with Beltsville MD and can't imagine much of a "secluded spread" there. Maybe down by the marina

How long before "He's become a biking maniac" is transformed into "He's become a...maniac" in the MSM and leftist blogs?

It's not unusual to burn calories at the same rate on a bike as you do running. The calories are 1/2 per mile on a bike (on average), and you travel twice as fast on a bike. If I remember his running pace and his weight, 1K calorie/hr is about right.
He really has gotten the bug. I know the feeling. Riding is so much more fun and easier on your body. And the scenery changes more often! During the summer when it's hot it's self cooling (well, kinda). Plus you carry your own water.

The FBI has one heck of a course there, perhas that's his spot. I myself have run there, but it would be a real rush to bike it.
Let's have Bush and Kerry bike it off.

It's my understanding while he was here in Austin as Gov. he'd occasional ride with Lance Armstrong. They'd meet at the trail off Mopac by the Colorado River (Town Lake). What would the libs say?

Today was my first day this year bicycle commuting - 24 mile round trip. It is a rush, to say the least.
It is also like taking smart pills.
