How long has he been a "reporter"? How long have you known him??

I think he's a Liberal Plant!!! I have NOT heard a lot of screeching about him from the usual suspects, which makes me VERY suspicious!!

No conservative is involved with Gay Escorts.

The lefties have taken this question as proof that Gannon had access to this "secret" memo, however it seems clear that Gannon based the question on an article from the WSJ of October 17 that described it.

That is a highly accurate report. If you google "Jeff Gannon" and "Plame", it'll link to a bunch of leftist sites claiming that Gannon had access to the now-infamous memo. Then, two members of congress (DUmbocRATS of course) wrote a letter calling for an investigation into Gannon.

This is just ridiculous. Here we have two reporters from liberal MSM who have been ordered to cooperate with the Plame investigators. It seems to me that Miller and Cooper could be original press contacts for the leaked memo, far more likely than Gannon, but the lefties don't even mention that. I've got a hunch that Miller and Cooper fed the memo to WSJ, Novak, whomever in another left-wing "sting" a la MD4BUSH.

Since his resignation, questions about who should gain access to White House press events have grown, prompting a special meeting for later today between the leadership of the White House Correspondents' Association and Bush Press Secretary Scott McClellan.

So is it finally time for Helen Thomas to leave???

You'd be surprised.

"#1. Freepers have reviewed the web sites in question and said it is impossible to determine if the person in the pictures is Gannon or not."

I thought they were definitely he, including that heavy watch he always wore.

Humm. Thanks for the comments. It doesn't make the behavior of the leftists any less despicable, but it does undermine Gannon.

In any case, the Democrats will gain nothing from this fiasco. What, they are persecuting someone for being a homosexual? How homophobic of them. It has no bearing on the press pass issue.

As to #1, I don't think it's any more impossible than the comparing CBS docs to Word. Anyone can look and see they're darn similar.

As to #2, this whole denial thing is silly. In getting into the White House, the guy's going to be investigated for criminal history, not prostitution. If they're doing background checks on all the reporters for every stupid thing they ever did (pause to enjoy that thought) there would be more police in the White House pressroom than reporters. Who cares whether he was a reporter for Talon News? The guy was a dimbulb for not thinking about the impact this would have.

I don't understand what the big deal is here. If we just laugh at the silly nekkid gigolo and the liberal press here, and ask "should we vet all reporters for more than criminal history before admitting them to the White House?" it will go away. If we act like there's something to cover up, it'll stay in the news twice as long. That's the way the press works. McClellan should be LAUGHING about this. Bush should be LAUGHING about this. The liberals caught one of their own closet boys. If they want the government to continue what is essentially a fag hunt, more power to `em.
