THE NEW YORK OBSERVER will report tomorrow: 'Former 60 Minutes Wednesday executive editor Josh Howard has told colleagues that before he resigns, the 23-year CBS News veteran will demand that the network retract remarks by CBS president Leslie Moonves, correct its official story line and ultimately clear his name'...

In the event of a lawsuit, Mr. Howard has told associates that he would like to see Moonves put under oath to talk about his own roles in the network's stubborn, hapless defense of the flawed segment on President Bush's National Guard service.

Howard has also indicated to colleagues that he would subpoena specific CBS documents, including the e-mails of top executives.

I want to know the link between the alliterative pair, Mary Mapes and Robin Rather. Is it personal, professional, political? All or some of the above? Lying liberal lovers, hmmmmmmmmmmmm?

But don't forget, Les got the BIG prize, Julie Chen.

TV News

Moonves, Chen Honeymoon in Mexico (Wednesday, December 29 11:30 AM) LOS ANGELES (Zap2it.com) CBS Ruler Les Moonves and "Early Show" anchor Julie Chen were quietly wed on Thursday, Dec. 23 at a sunset ceremony in Mexico.

According to the AP, Chen, 34, wore an ivory gown designed by Reem Acra for the ceremony, which was held at a private residence. The couple then departed for their honeymoon at the Las Ventanas resort in Cabo San Lucas.

The wedding came some time after the Viacom co-president and the "Big Brother" host began dating, but just weeks after Moonves, 55, filed to accelerate divorce proceedings with his wife of 24 years, Nancy.

Clinton & Kerry had their hospital call right after the RNC convention bounce. They HAD to do something.....and this may have originally been their October surprise. Would be great to find out which company produced the Fortunate Son ad.

The private citizens who work at CBS can fight with lawyers and lawsuits and countersuits when they feel the sting of defamation.... the American soldiers in Iraq who are accused of misdeeds by the press don't have that privilege.

A Prayer:

Dear Lord,

Please let this be CBS/DNC's John Dean. Amen

Rather said: When the charge has something to do with somebody's private sex life, I would prefer not to run any of it.

Yet, last summer I'll bet Dan Rather and SeeBS were only too happy to trumpet allegations against Republican Senate candidate Jack Ryan based on his personal life. And, with Ryan it really was his personal life, not alleged rape as with the Clinton-Broaddrick situation. (I don't watch them except on rare occasions.)

Media outlets (not SeeBS), as willing accomplices to the Dems, sued to unseal the divorce records of Jack Ryan. Talk about going after the guy's personal life.

The unsealed records revealed that his former wife, in the heat of a bitter divorce, had initially charged that Ryan had tried to get her to have sex with him in a sex nightclub. Possibly a false charge fabricated for leverage in the divorce or possibly Ryan was somewhat kinky.

None of it had anything to do with his public life or his ability to be a senator. But he was GOP, so the press actually sued to go on fishing expedition into the guy's private life. Finding a juicy story, the media played the "sex club" allegations up until they had run Ryan out of the race.

This is now on Drudge:

"ASKED TO RESIGN, 3 AT CBSNEWS HIRE LAWYERS INSTEAD: More than month after CBS head Moonves requested resignations of 3 top journos who helped oversee flawed report on Bush National Guard -- they have yet to step down... "

Ask Dan Rather if it's "A whole lot of nothing" :-)

Liberals get nasty when they are cornered, there is no honor among them, they would stab their own mothers in the back if it meant they could poison the minds of a few more gullible Sheeple. The Liberal media is in a tail spin and I wouldn't be surprised if they all start turning on each other.

Eason Jordon is probably not too happy with his Boss's at CNN, Dan Rather has been disgraced and will forever be remembered for the forged documents. FOX NEWS is blowing away the Liberal Media in ratings and the Liberals great white hope from Arkansas only claim to fame is a stain on a blue dress.

The Liberals are in deep doo doo, and I believe we are about to see them turn on themselves

They definitely still make Lone Star...whether they should or not is a different story. I much prefer Shiner Bock.

There were definitely signs pointing to coordination between Kerry's boys and Mapes

weren't phone calls already documented and admitted to?

Thanks for the link. But, as we all know, Rather was more than just the "news reader" for this piece since he specifically called in Heyward to run defense for him.
