But ballots don't come with a box for "none of the above". Once it gets to election day, we can only vote for the most conservative guy on the ballot. Before election day, I'll grant you that we can work to educate others, and to try to encourage like minded people to run, but come election day, what are you going to do?

You do have a point, but since we can only vote for the "most conservative" guy or gal, if they don't do our bidding, they go home after one term and we try the next person.
