Yeah, there will always be a debate because there will always be resistance from the Left to giving Reagan his due.
Who was more responsible for the fall of the Berlin Wall - Michel Gorbachev or Ronald Reagan?
I believe Grove City College is one of the most conservative in the nation.
It wouldn't surprise me, in about 30 years or so, that lie-brils will try to rewrite history and say that George Bush pursued the only path he could because of Osama Bin Laden.
The whole country clamored for a war after 9/11 and GW just wasn't morally strong enough to stand up a against a war-mongering bunch of neocons.
-or-
You could go to the University of Colorado and learn from Ward Churchill.
tough decision eh?
I just wish some top notch football recruit would stand up and say...
"It was my initial intent to accept a football scholarship from the University of Colorado, but after seeing the quality of staff heading up some of the departments there, I have decided to attend....."
Its a small very conservative school that is often rated in the top twenty for value, has a low tuition, and takes absolutely no governement money. Thye even took the feds all the way to the Supreme Court, used students to help develope the case, and won!! Really pretty in a small town. (hat tip to the wiz...from Iraq The Model.)
"how was 'the dummy' right about Iraq?"
Uhh... maybe because he's 'not dumb.'? maybe?
The liberal revisionists were actually at it in the nineties saying RR had little to do with it but that communism would have collapsed with or without him.
They will never give credit where it's due...
Alot of people don't know their history. Do some reading on Hitler's rise to power and all will learn that Hitler was never elected.
Yes, he did have a political party but it was marginal. Hitler was brought in as part of a coalition. It was surprising to him and his party for they thought they had been defeated completely, never to rise as high again.
Once part of the coalition government, Hitler was appointed Chancellor because of his anti-communist views and the communists at that time were viewed by peaceable Germans as an enormous threat.
Thereafter, it is suspected that Hitler's henchman murdered Von Hindenberg or caused his death. This is what opened the door to power for Hitler.
There are many Freepers that are fine historians and know this history far better than most in the media.
But Jamie Rubin shows his incredible lack of historical knowledge by stating 'Hitler was elected' and then using that error to infer a comparison with the Iraqi election. And to think that Rubin person held a high profile position in the Clinton Administration.
The victory won in Iraqi Freedom was fast and furious and changed the face of that nation for generations.
The victory won against the Soviet Union was arduous, long and hard and met stiff resistance domestically and globally and changed the history of the entire world for centuries.
Their hero is JFK, who talked the talk but did little. Witness the Cubans who were abandoned at the Bay of Pigs.
RR on the other hand walked it, that's what they can't stand.
In the same mold as Jimmy Carter.
Neville Chamberlains all.
Jamie Rubin is the husband of Christiane Amanpour. He's not only delusional, he's blind as a bat.
"Rubin growled: Yeah, Adolf Hitler won in Germany.
A side issue perhaps, but I wish people would stop saying this. It is a mere slander on democratic elections. Hitler, of course, took power as the result of a byzantine power struggle among Nazi factions, Centrists, and Rightists in an anti-communist maneuver. Hitler was a party leader, annointed Chancellor by Hindenburg in 1933.
He was not elected to office. Nor was he ever elected thereafter.
Untermenschen? Isn't that what Haj Amin al Husseini(Hitler's houseguest for a number of years) called Jews, and helped organize the Hanjar(Bosnian Muslim SS)to exterminate them and the Serbs?
