I can't think of even one purchase we have made in the past two years that is manufactured or distributed by a French company.

We avoid all French wine (which apparently many people do, since there is such a surplus, they want to turn it into industrial products). We buy American, Australian and Chilean wine.

French cars are practically non-existent. Clothing? No real influence anymore. Foods...nothing necessary nor especially desirable. Entertainment? Nope. Presidential candidate? No way! Even avoiding Heinz catsup, soup and whatever...even Ore Ida potatoes.

Jeez! Come to think of it, a boycott of anything French is practically effortless!

"I'm already committed to a lifelong boycott..."

Likewise. I check the "made in" tag on everything and will never buy French again if I can help it. Good on O'Reilly....

srm913,

Most of my acquaintances (self included) have never stopped boycotting the Frenchies and probably never will ..

You may find some financial services more difficult to boycott - for example, Axa Insurance is a French company. They also own Alliance Capital Management.

It's even easier for me, since I've always been a teetotaler anyway.

or California. They also have a good dairy/cheese industry.

Check it out.

Heh, one of our many services! :)

Not to down on ol' Sconnie's dairy production, but IIRC CA, recently overtook them in raw production of cheese/dairy...

Who was that white haired guy who talks about being nicey nice to France on the O'Reilly Factor.

Ellis Hennican. A liberal who thinks along the lines of Michael Moore. He's one of the liberals that really easy to dislike. He's an arrogant, in-your-face, you're-all-wrong leftie.

His name is Ellis something and he always trys to do his little giggle - he's the epitome of metrosexual. He's very annoying and when challenged his deal is to keep talking over the other guest - I want to rip off his fanny pack and smack him with it! Ann Coulter was on with him a week or so ago and you could tell she didn't like him at all but she cleaned the floor with him as she always does - she "Coulterized" him!

"I'm sure you can get versions from Wisconsin."

If not, look to California. Happy cows live in California.

Sorry but I think all this boycott stuff is childish.

Why? I think it's important where my money goes. I work hard for it, and I don't want to hand it to someone who will then use it to slap me in the face -- or worse, endanger my country. Besides, not buying something is a very small sacrifice to make.

I never stopped - and I never will. And I wasted 3 years in high school on French, so don't feel alone. But think of it this way - we always need someone who understands the language of the enemy....
