OUT NOW!
MARCH TO CENTRAL PARK ON SAT. MARCH 19th, 2005

Momentum Builds for March 19th Rally in Central Park
The world-wide antiwar movement has called for massive demonstrations against the war on the weekend on March 19-20 -- the second anniversary of the invasion of Iraq. We have a responsibility to respond with renewed determination and commitment in the face of the Bush Administration's launching of a new phase of the war against the Iraqi people.
A few months ago, Mayor Bloomberg, the NYPD, and Bush told us that we could not march to and rally in Central Park. We do not accept this decision and are determined to challenge it by assembling tens of thousands of people to retake Central Park --our Park. The antiwar movement cannot afford, and must not allow, this infringement on our rights, especially in a city as important as NYC.
We call on all antiwar and progressive activists, organizations, and coalitions to work towards building a massive march on Saturday March 19th to Central Park under the slogan OUT NOW!

One can only genuflect....
Michael Berg isn't on this one.
The freaks are coming out of the closet again. I don't think they will have as big of a crowd since there was such a good turn out for the election in Iraq. I sure hope they don't, anyway.
I'm sure some of this could be put to song
The Committee of Poets on Welfare didn't make it?? /sarcasm
This list reminds me of a comment by Mark Twain. "Every 4th of July, fools blow themselves up with fireworks. Today, we need a second 4th of July, the country has grown so."
Congressman Billybob
That is just infinitely sad.
Communists or dupes. The only other possibility is Islamists.

what a freaky conglomeration... and what's with this:
"Freedom Socialist Party, New York, NY"
sounds kinda oxymoronic doesn't it?
Thanks for the ping!
What is Liberty Underground of Virginia? I am from Virginia and I have never heard of this one.
>>>Liberty Underground of Virginia
Sounds like a spin off of Weather Underground.
Who is Weather Underground? SDS.
Who is SDS?
SDS/Weatherman
Weatherman or Weather Underground Organization, is a "revolutionary organization of communist men and women" formed by members of the Students for a Democratic Society or SDS. They were originally called the Revolutionary Youth Movement. They advocated the overthrow of our government and capitalism. They carried out a campaign of bombings, jailbreaks, and riots in 1969-1976.
The group derived their name from Bob Dylan's song lyrics from "Subterranean Homesick Blues", which were, "You don't need a weatherman to know which way the wind blows", I use to see that quote at the bottom of their periodical, New Left Notes, when I use to work at a periodical distribution company.
Their first event, in 1969, was the "Days of Rage" in Chicago. They blew up a statue dedicated to police casualties in the 1886 Haymarket Riot. They announced at a convention that they supported Charles Manson. The rally failed to draw as many participants (300) as they had hoped. They did lead a riot through Chicago's business district, smashing windows and cars. 6 were shot and 70 arrested. The conflict went on for a few days.
1970, after the shooting by police of Black Panther Fred Hampton, the group issued a Declaration of War against the United States government, changing its name to the "weather underground organization", adopting fake IDs, and pursuing covert activities only. These initially included plans for a bombing of a US military noncommissioned officers' dance at Fort Dix. But when three Underground members died in an accidental explosion while preparing the bomb in a Greenwich Village, New York City safe house, other cells re-evaluated their plans and decided to pursue only non-lethal projects.
This group released a number of manifestos and declarations, while conducting a series of bombings. These attacked the U.S. Capitol, The Pentagon, police and prison buildings, and the rebuilt Haymarket statue again, among other targets. The group took measures to avoid any loss of life as a result of these bombings, issuing warnings to evacuate the building ahead of time via phone. They also took a $25,000 payment from a drugs group called The Brotherhood of Eternal Love to break LSD advocate Timothy Leary out of prison, transporting him to Algeria. They remained largely successful at avoiding the police and the FBI.
In the mid-to-late 1970s, the group began dissolving, as many members turned themselves in to the police, and others moved onto other armed revolutionary groups. Very few served prison sentences, since the evidence gathered against them, by the FBI's COINTELPRO program, was inadmissable in court, due to the illegal methods used to obtain it.
Famous members of the Weather Underground include Kathy Boudin, Mark Rudd, Terry Robbins, David Gilbert, and the still-married couple Bernardine Dohrn and Bill Ayers.
Many former Weathermen have re-integrated into society, without necessarily repudiating their original intent. Bill Ayers, now a Distinguished Professor of Education at the University of Illinois, said in a September 11, 2001 New York Times profile "I don't regret setting bombs. I believe we didn't do enough."
" USWA L. 8751 - Boston School Bus Drivers, Boston, MA "
huh???
Nice work, DFU!
Bump
NOT just MA!!!!!!
Here is my bump list on that info:
Students for a Democratic Society and the Weatherman Underground Association
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1265828/posts
They obtained the positions of 'professors' and teachers by distracting us with the Vietnam War.
Now, the ones in charge get to hire like minds.
The Liberty Underground of Virginia, the LUV as they like to be known, are supposedly a group of peace-loving liberals who claim to care about the world. Sounds like they're a bunch of flower children. I don't think any of them are capable of trying to rob a Brinks trunk and bombing a place as the Weathermen did. I remember when the SDS was active on my campus. Now they were truly frightening. And yes, most of them are teaching in colleges today. That's even more frightening.
Thank you for the list. I am not sure what a bump list is but I saved it. I wish there were some way to clean out the colleges and universities of these people and get real teachers and professors in there who don't have personal agendas.
I worry about the students at our colleges who get indoctrinated by these people. I listened to a couple of students of Ward Churchill the other day and it reminded me of the rhetoric I heard back in the late 60's and early 70's. I heard that Kathy Boudin is teaching somewhere now that she's out of prison. What are these admins thinking?! And so much of what is posted at DU sounds like a speech by Bernardine Dohrn it's deja vu.
>>>What are these admins thinking?!
Look at who is in charge of the NEA.
Look at who donates to the Universities (a lot of Soros monies)
The people that hold high positions now came into power during the Vietnam War.
Exactly. I've been trying to explain to people that unfortunately it's the left wing radicals of my generation who are in charge today. Some are inane liberal "let me help you poor ignorant masses" types and the others are these extreme anti-America former bomb throwers. But at least some of that generation have left the 60's behind. It's called growing up. I've read all your posts on the subject and you're dead on. Have a good night. I have to get up early to work.
Hi DFU - how can I find out if the local SD idiots are planning anything in SD ..??
If they are .. I might try to mobilize a few people for a greeting committee.
Bunch of idiots bump!!!!!

The Democratic Underground Posts Of The Day: The US Killed Nick Berg
Who killed Nick Berg? Was it Al-Qaeda? A group of Iraqis who just pretended to be part of Al-Qaeda...or was it "People working for U.S. Government"? If you guessed "People working for U.S. Government," then you're currently in agreement with 73% of the 92 people at the Democratic Underground who voted in the "Who killed Berg?" poll.
That's bad enough. But, also at the Democratic Underground, you'll find posts called..
-- The Berg Murder: A Democratic Underground Poll (which also has several "America did it" type selections)
-- Did Freepers Kill Nick Berg?
-- Berg family on Freeper hate list.... was this why he died?
-- Berg was killed by Black Ops, the motive is to ramp up the War
-- If Berg was a BFEE (Bush Family Evil Empire) setup, this is why
-- Freepers had Berg firm on enemies list
-- Beheaded Man's Firm Was On Right-Wing enemies list
-- Is Al-qaeda now outfitting their prisoners in orange jumpsuits?
-- Bergs firm Was On Freepers 'Enemies' List in March
-- Who physically killed Nick Berg? (Another poll with the US as possible killers)
...and I could go on.
So what's driving this firestorm of left-wing paranoia? You have to remember that to left America in general and Republicans/The Bush adminstration/conservatives are the root of all evil.
If something happens that the left thinks might help Bush's poll numbers (and that seems to be what people believe at the DU) then it must be Karl Rove manipulating things behind the scenes.
If something evil happens? Well, when the left thinks "evil," they think "conservatives". And if the conservatives aren't directly responsible, then it's all their fault or America's fault at the least anyway. That's today's left for you...
PS: The Free Republic post referenced several times is this one,
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1092851/posts
It's a thread called "HERE IS THE ENEMY -- they have posted their names" and the original post is a HUGE LIST of people who endorsed some of ANSWER'S "kookery". One of the people who did endorse it was Michael Berg, Nick Berg's father. There are no suggestions in violence in the thread, Michael Berg's name isn't mentioned except in the original list until the story of his son's beheading broke, and his son's name is never mentioned at all. Yet, that's enough to convince some of the uts that there are freepers running around hunting down the relatives of peaceniks.
I am rather saddened that Mr. Heywood Jablome isn't able to attend this year.
Okay, which one is going to have a family member's head whacked off this time by an Islamofascist and then try to blame it on us for publishing this list?
what did the loony libs do this time??? They went out and got the people and groups that voted for John Kerry....congrats, especially to "Mary Lincoln" I know she would be proud to have voted for Kerry.....
We just cut and pasted the list last year from their website. We're weren't the publisher. It was fair use here on FR. What is really interesting is that some were claiming that I someone doctored the list. They are lying. I cut and pasted it exactly as it was on the date I did it. Later, the site removed some of the names at the bottom. The left has a real problem with accuracy.
Calpernia,
I was a bit surpirsed to see the school bus drivers of my city on this list....
The terrorist b*st*rds would love to drive a car next to a school bus full of children and detonate.
So, how many of these people are associated with the Democrat party?
I think the percentage would be high. If they voted, they certainly didn't vote for Pres. Bush.

Iraq Elections were a huge victory. And they are now coming unhinged. The libs just can't handle the reality that they were wrong.
ALL DEMOCRAPS ARE COMMUNISTS
"A few months ago, Mayor Bloomberg, the NYPD, and Bush told us that we could not march to and rally in Central Park. We do not accept this decision and are determined to challenge it by assembling tens of thousands of people to retake Central Park"
-ping-
Young Socialists....and the World Workers Party.
Communism seems to be spreading at a scary rate.
The fact that they state they will ignore legal orders...
and "retake" the park.....
Well, that sounds like communists threatening an attack on US soil.
