Maverick Republican Sen. John McCain said Sunday that his New York colleague, Sen. Hillary Clinton, would do well if she becomes president of the United States.
"I am sure that Sen. Clinton would make a good president," McCain told NBC's "Meet the Press," as both he and Clinton were being interviewed from Baghdad.
While noting that as a Republican, he'll be supporting the GOP nominee in 2008, McCain reiterated, "I have no doubt that Sen. Clinton would make a good president."
Asked whether she thought McCain would make a good president, Sen. Clinton was somewhat less effusive, responding tersely, "Absolutely" - before erupting in her familiar cackle.

Angling for a VP spot on some bipartisan "Dream Team"?
Sure, she would make a good President, in the same way that Stalin made a good General Secretary.

Looks like these two are positioning themselves for 2008.
The question - If both wants to govern this nation, one being the candidate for President and the other as Vice, would you vote for the team?
I won't! What say you?

I hope he loses his next re-election. In a landslide. What are the idiots in AZ thinking?

McCain is always angling for the middle.
What burns me up is that the media is always is quoting him. There are many more Senators I'd like to hear before this guy.

To: Carl/NewsMax
I always take Newsmax with a grain of salt, but this comment is consistent with RINO McCain's perennial pandering to the media to come off as a "maverick." Personally, I think he's batty.
I think that McCain wants to run for the GOP nomination in 2008, and it's comments like this, among many others, that make that nomination a long shot. If (when) he loses, he'll have another tantrum like he did in 2000, and may run as a third party candidate to try to screw the GOP. However, if he runs, I think he'll draw as many votes from RATs as he does from Republicans, and may have a fairly minor effect on the outcome.

It's possible that McCain was misquoted.
Let me reveal here, the actual quote:
While noting that as a Republican in name only, he'll be supporting the GOP nominee in 2008, but will not miss a chance to criticize and denigrate.
McCain reiterated that he is an idiot and sincerely hopes the gullible public will not see him for the misguided miscreant that he is.
He went on to point out that he has been fooling his constituents for so long, that a few more years won't matter.
I wouldn't want him to be misunderstood.
This posting should have had a RINO alert.

McCain wants to be her VP, is my guess.
To: Carl/NewsMax
I am not in the least surprised.
While "campaigning" for President Bush, McCain stated that Kerry would make a good president when he was asked a similar question to the one he was asked of Hillary.

What are the idiots in AZ thinking? Well, we had a Recall McCain movement going when 9/11 hit. Our Old Media is very Liberal, and all the MSM love McCain. Plus, whenever you talk about his nutso, anti-Constitutional antics, people say "Well, he's a war hero!"
Believe me, there are a lot of people in Arizona who are fed up with McPain.
To: Missouri
The media will always do the maximum amount that they possibly can to portray him badly to Republicans because he will be on the 08 ticket, and here's the kicker:
He will be on the GOP ticket, but he darn well might be the VP.
Think Rice/McCain. And that will beat Hillary/Richardson.
