"Forsake The Troops" ^

Posted on 02/23/2005 12:43:51 PM PST by mhking

Forsake The Troops started off as Citizens Against the Troops, an organization founded in the Summer of 2004. We currently have fifteen members in our organization, spanning all across this country. Our founder, and leader's name is Scott Vogel, who currently resides in Southern New Jersey. Other members have their bios available as well. To view those, click here.

Our position is that as it stands currently, the compensation, benefit, and retirement packages that our active duty and retired military personnel get is outrageous, and undeserved. The American taxpayer is supporting the military enlistee, when said person made the decision to become a walking, talking target for Uncle Sam, and "Yuk Yuk" Bush. They made the choice to leech off of the American taxpayer, therefore we must do our part as taxpayers to recoup our funds, or at the very least stop this obscene abuse of our taxes.

Our intention is not to inspire, suggest, or joke about violence towards the military; rather, our goal is to eventually approach Congress about completely revamping the military pay structure. Despite common opinion, we are not a hate group, that we do not condone acts of violence, or any illegal acts towards military facilities or personnel.

This is from the "About" page of a site entitled "Forsake the Troops," from some moonbat who purports to "hate" the troops and what they stand for.

"fifteen members in our organization, spanning all across this country"

15 people spans all across the country? Are we talking about Lichtenstein?

15 members, spanning the country? Why didn't they just say "Spanning the Globe?"

Sounds like a small Girl Scout troop...

As there are 50 states in the union, I would hardly think that a membership of 15 spans the country.

No, they're not a hate group.

They are, however, offensively stupid. Stupid beyond comprehension. Stupid to the point that someone very nice and patient has to follow them around holding the drool cup.

These guys make Oliver Willis' readers look like a NASA science team. They have the collective IQ of a rotting grape fruit.

Observe them closely. We could learn new insights about how human beings function with severe brain damage.

Wow, I sort of like this logic, so long as we carry it into all areas.. Revamp the pay for congresscritters, judges, civil servants...

Oh, right, keep forgetting, these groups only hate the military. That's why they say they're not a hate group.

Useless trash on the Internet. Someone do the world a favor and wisk it into the dustcan.

What 'leeching off Uncle Sam' gov't. plan allowed this author to get himself/herself an education, enjoy the benefits of this society in peace and prosperity, live securely, travel freely and in safety, practice a religion of his/her choice (or not), raise his/her children without fear of harm or oppression, cherish the certainty of a peaceful and prosperous future for his/her children, etc.? Where do these idiots come from?

Astonishing that your group opposes military, yet without the military you would not be able to write your stupid column, all 15 would be shot under any other circumstance..... you just don't get it

GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!

Ok, the third one's a charm. First the harassment of recruiter Sgt. Due in Seattle. Second the hate letters to Pfc. Jacobs in Korea. Now this. I'm telling you, I am going to need BP meds.

My uncle is afraid that what happened to him when he returned from Nam will start happening again. I pray FERVENTLY that he is wrong, but these stories seem to be spiraling. I for one will NOT sit down and shut up. Our soldiers are heroes. #$%& anyone who says otherwise.
