It was also started so our military members and families could also visit it and get info and recaps about race results and goings on in Nascar.
It is NOT a political thread, at least not in off election years and posting of personal political views and rumors re: Nascar and/or drivers is highly discouraged and blatant attempts to stir up controversy will NOT be tolerated.
If you wish to discuss politics, please take it to another thread where it is appropriate or start your own thread.
Posting of inappropriate pictures will also result in your post(s) being pulled. This is a family friendly thread, please keep that in mind.
Please keep the thread on topic as much as possible during the race. We post the current race positions and discussion of what is happening in the race for those that may not have the TV in the same room as the computer. Or, in some instances some may not even have the viewing channel available on their cable.
Thanks..
yipppeeeeeee
wopeeeeeeee
If the race is in September 2005, why are you putting thread up now???
(Ping admin moderator to change...)
how are you W.C.G.?
Sure wish Yahoo could get their act together for our Freeper League.
BTW, After California there is a week off. What is it with that? Those panzies.
So what happened to NormsRevenge?
Sorry, I've had a rough few days here, no sleep plus ++++
Thanks for getting it fixed. Thanks Admin Mod.
Hi Al, I've been better.
Mom said there would be days like this.
How's by you?
Yeah, and they are only going to Las Vegas.
The Busch race is in Mexico. Arriba!!!
Norm is still the Grand Poobah of the thread. :)
Yummy.
Love pink, what is it?
We were discussing the pink pajama thread early yesterday on Pukin Dogs thread. (Peggy Noonan)
Hope AB shows "The Commercial"!
Here's the link to the campaign for the returning soldiers.
I won my bar pool last week with Gordon. Of course, I am last pick this week. I got M Waltrip. Any chance at all? I have no clue about this guy.
They showed it during Daytona last week. This is the best link (higher resolution than on AB's site):

(p.s. -- Don't forget to view Ameriquest's "Cat Killer" commercial)
According to my notes Mikey finished in the 20's last September and 32nd in May/04.
Although, he does have Jr's cars this year...which may not mean much since Jr had a heck of a time at California.
I wouldn't pick him if I had the choice I guess. He really messed me up at Daytona points wise in the FRRL, but not his fault/engine. :(
Nice eagle graphic, WCG. Thanks for the ping. So when does NASCAR kick in the new qualifying procedures? California or later?
Good evenin' WCG! Thanks for the ping.
Any news on the Yahoo situation with the scoring / standings?
A friend at work has Cup tickets for Sunday's race. I still like my seat in front of the TV. I-10 at Etiwanda is a real traffic mess without adding a couple hundred thousand race fans and all the weekend shoppers going to the huge Ontario Mills Mall adjacent to the race track.
They did show it again during the Daytona 500. I love it too!
They e-mailed me that it should be fixed by Friday.
Let's hope!!
It's a great track nestled right up to the mountains.
Remember last years race when the hot dog wrappers were flying everywhere because of the wind coming through the pass?

I wanted to document the fact that Eaker was pinged. |
Yes the TV has the best picture of everything. Although I wouldn't mind being in California again for the shopping. Loved Ontario Mills!!
Thanks glock, I made it a medium sized PING.
Eaker are you there?
The email to pick drivers that Yahoo sends me usually says pick your drivers by Thursday and 0200 Mountain time.
The email I got from them this week says Saturday morning. Odd, Glock thought. It would appear they are aware of the situation.
Still looking for that damned shoe!
That's because qualifying is on Saturday with impound. No Happy Hour. :(
It was in the back seat at first, and, well, somebody mentioned something about too much Ripple, and then Bob said NOT IN MY CAR! and, well, the cooler.
No beer, just ice, out the window it went. Cherry Hills Exit or something... I don't remember, myself.
It WAS a great football game though, wasn't it!
It was a football game, wasn't it?
I loved that cooler too .......... :<(
I got swallowed up by a giant sinkhole when my keg cracked a leak.. But I managed to crawl back from the abyss unharmed.
Thanks for asking, btw. :-)
I agree, the AB commercial is great!!! and the cat killer is hilarious, and this is from a big time cat lover. LOL
This looks very nice, format wise, You and Chef have raised the bar for the rest of us this season. :-)
Looking forward to the Madden telestrator and screen caps. :)
We had to put the mother of the father of the Beeber in a alshiemer care facilty a couble of weeks ago other than that its the checker flags all the way
Hope you get better!
This is always a great thread and I appreciate all the hard work that goes into it. I watch the races every week and then get to relive them through these threads.
I love racing and there are plenty of other places on this forum to get into political debates. It is nice to just get away from politics for a while. The added insight I get from the posts on this weekly thread I can't get anywhere else.
Keep up the good work all and go Jr.
What you talkin???
We picked up that cooler a half hour earlier at the 7-11 for four bucks. After that, Bob made a right on a one way that was the wrong way... and before we could get the beemer headed the right way on that one way there were the red and blues to raise the dead. We talked and talked, and bein's we were turistas, they let us go. Bob turned the beemer around and made a left back onto the street we came from. All seemed well. Except for all those dang headlights. Yep. Heck, we'd been on a one way street to begin with. Well, Denver's finest asked who here can drive, and that was me. They didn't jail nobody, and after I gave them the key to the hotel, they escorted us back there. No harm, no foul. Well, then someone, EAKER, said: "Hey! Are Y'all hungry???"
freeway... shoe... don't you remember anything?

Thanks for the ping! We don't have tickets for the race but we plan to go out this weekend and have some fun "cruising" the merchandise trailers. We did that last year and had a great time :).
It was hot as hell last year we made it to about lap 120 and split Did you guys think it was hot?
Yahoo show points and rank next to "my" team name. Still messed up on the league section. Something about all those "8s" sure has me wondering...:)
There are 8 mountain passes between you and me. Do you think I'm safe from y'all???
Yes, it sure was hot, although we got out there about 9:00 a.m. the morning of the race and were back home just as the race was starting, so we missed the worst of the heat. We had friends out there for the race who said a lot of people ended up with heat prostration. I suspect that might be one reason they moved the race to Feb., although they'll be lucky to just miss the rain we've been having! Looks like it should be clear till Sunday night, last I checked.
Why yes.
Absolutely.
no.
Thanks for the ping.
I'm going to try and get tickets for the first Phoenix race.
I'm going to take my daughter and this will be our first live race.
Got my picks in (Thunder Bud is big on Roush all the way this weekend---I will not use up the Hendrix boys so early this year!). I'll be dropping in & out all weekend long.
Keep up the great postings with all the good stuff and fo-tos.
Congrats to us Alley Gators! 3rd Quarter Winners by a sweep tonite! Qualified for the final-four at the end of the year in May.
