Churchill Art Piece Called Into Question
by CBS4 News reporter Raj Chohan
Feb 24, 2005 8:03 pm US/Mountain BOULDER, Colo. (CBS4) Boulder County resident Duke Prentup has been a fan of native American art for as long as he can remember. That love of art took him to the home of Ward Churchill in the early 1980's, where Prentup bought several pieces of Churchill's art, including a serigraph titled "Winter Attack."
"I have enjoyed them ever since immensely, they're obviously up inside my house," Prentup said.
Last month came a stunning revelation, though, as as Prentup flipped through a 1972 book called The Mystic Warriors of the Plains written and illustrated by the late artist Thomas E. Mails. He found a sketch that was strikingly similar to the Churchill piece.
(Excerpt) See the rest of the article, and photo comparisons of the 2 pieces of art here: http://news4colorado.com/topstories/local_story_055200531.html

I didn't do anything, really, except post the link. (And find the Ebay auction, which is just icing.) The real credit goes to News4 and Raj, whom I have no connection with whatsoever. Just happened to read it.

Here's a link to another Ward Churchill item on Ebay . The talent level between the two works is striking. This one looks more like one a high school art student might produce. Notice the "retail value"!

This brings to mind the old axiom..."Those who can, do. Those who can't (all together, now) - teach!"
So now what about the next obvious conundrum - the fact that he can't even teach effectively?!
Ow! Ow! My brain is cramping...can't...see, can't breathe...

It won't be long now; he's gonna blow.I was listening to Mike Rosen's local talk show on KOA Denver, before he guest hosted Rush's program today, and he was revealing alot of Churchill that I hadn't heard before from the MSM, let alone H&C or O'Reilly.

Historic Niwot, Colorado, loved for its village-like charm, was named after Southern Arapahoe Indian, Chief Niwot who was left handed. Niwot means left handed in Arapahoe language. Chief Niwot was well known for his amicable relationship with the people who settled this area. Niwot is located in unincorporated Boulder County.
And it looks like the Churchill print from the News 4 story was done left-handed... mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm...???

If you were to superimpose the negative image over the positive image, you would have nothing, which is what this imposter has made of his life so far.

$5.98 (2 for $9.98)
Unique drawing tool is a fun way to develop children's artistic talent! It reflects any printed picture (from a magazine, book, etc.) onto a blank sheet, allowing child to trace the outline. Develops eye/hand coordination and is more challenging than simple coloring! In addition to reflector, kit includes 6 drawings and 6 blank sheets. 8" x 6".

Look what the seller says:
I originally purchased this print, in 1980, directly from the artist, Ward Churchill, when living in Boulder, Colorado. It is a limited edition, signed and numbered. It is in excellent condition, although there is a very small spot on the left side of the matt, and two very small smudges on the print. The one thing Churchill does great is his Native American Indian art.
Simply amazing.
This guy could well be the Scott Peterson of the academic world.
