I'm still trying to get the Distress to open (I'm on dial up and it's slow)

Republicans ask Potts to resign from posts

This from the Pilot.

It's good news that the Senate caucus wants him to resign. Most of the RINOs there won't buck the party on something like this.

"I believe that Virginia is a moderate, middle-of-the-road state," said Potts, 65. "That's where I am." The only thing you find in the middle-of-the-road is a "Yellow Stripe" or a "Dead Skunk".

I finally read the Distress piece, and while reading parts to my husband he queried "what DNC press release are you reading from.?"

Keep in mind that it was written by Jeff Schapiro.

He's never met a fact he couldn't distort.

I think one negative aspect of the Democrats' going hard-left is that we end up with these squishy middle-of-the-roaders that can't take a stand on anything. One would almost think that Republicans can't stand success and can only play well from behind.

This is a case in point. Despite being a deeply flawed candidate, Kaine will go through the primaries unopposed. That leaves up the the Republican frontrunner to expose Kaine for the fool he is. The strategery appears to be glossing over his past record and concentrating on his "vision".

"...the liberal media will be less effective than they were in 1994. Talk radio and the internet, much more powerful than in 1994, can help overcome media bias as proven in Bush's reelection against an outrageous stream of lies, half-truths and distortions of the media."

Worth repeating...MUD

The Kilgore team has some really choice comments about Pott's entry. Like this one:
"The announcement today that Russ Potts (I-Winchester) will run for Governor as an Independent can only be seen as a tremendous setback for the Kaine for Governor campaign. Now, the High Tax/Big Government Spending lobby has two liberal candidates to choose from in the race for Governor. What we have here today is not a split within the Republican Party, but rather a colossal fissure among the High Tax/Big Government Spending coalition. "

Which is why they use demo-speak.......hoping no one knows what they are talking about and less will ask for an explanation.
