I just admitted my wife to ICU suffering from a stroke.
While I am not a frequent poster, I read FR every day and have seen the support the folks here give to others.
I have been the receipent of the Lord's blessings many times in my life and ask for your prayers for Cookie's recovery.

I lift up your dear wife to God, T Wayne - and I also lift you up as well. God is with you and with her even now; He loves you both and will guide you through this.
Make sure to ask about t-Pa (tissue plasminogen activator) - it must be administered within three hours of stroke, but is VERY important. Make sure to ask for it by name, and don't assume they already are doing it.
I am praying for you even now. Father, go with him and his loving wife, and heal her. In Jesus name I pray it...

She had a hemorrhagic stroke that appears to be fairly small.

Wayne,
I am so sorry to hear about your wife. I pray in gods name that she will recover completely. My friend just went through the same thing a few months ago and she is doing great! Has to take meds for seizure's, but they work, and she feels fine and is even back to work. She is just like her old self. I pray for just such a recovery for your wife.
God bless you and your family and may he give you strength through this difficult time.

Prayer sent for your wife, you, and and family. Hang in there with Jesus all things are possible. My brother-in-law went through this and with therapy in about 2 1/2 years he over came it. Oddly enough his middle name was Wayne.
