Bush administration policies based on 'false ideology' of power: Soros (Evil speaks)

JEDDAH, Saudi Arabia (AFP) - US billionaire financier George Soros said at the Jeddah Economic Forum the American administration's policies were based on a "false ideology" of power, newspapers reported.

The trouble with President George W. Bush (news - web sites)'s administration is not merely their policies "may be wrong" but that "they are wrong," the Saudi Gazette quoted him saying on the last day of the forum in this Saudi city.

"They are bound to be wrong because they are based on a false ideology," which holds that international relations are relations of power, the Hungarian-born investor said.

"Because they think we are unquestionably the most powerful, we have earned the right to impose our will on the rest of the world," he added.

Soros criticised American society for not understanding the concept of open society despite being "the most successful open society in the world".

The three-day annual international event held in this Red Sea port city ended on Monday without any recommendations announced.

The forum aims instead to present different views, the vice chairman of the Jeddah chamber of commerce, Ghassan al-Suleiman, told a press conference.

Nope, we think we are the most successful open society in the world, and that everyone deserves an open society. Which Soros professes to believe, but does not practice. All Bush has imposed on anyone, is freedom from a couple of vicious tyrants and their murderous followers. Nobody in Europe had to do anything. Nobody in the third world even needed to care, unless they wanted to. Afghans and Iraqis can choose any way of life they like, now that they are in charge of their own destiny.

There was a time when human rights activists called on all responsible governments to act against grave injustices and to free the oppressed. Then there is now, when anyone who actually does so is said to be "imposing" "openness". Hey, if the Iraqis were oppressed because they prefer being oppressed, all they have to do is elect and obey a new oppressor. But they won't.

"Because they think we are unquestionably the most powerful, we have earned the right to impose our will on the rest of the world," he added.

Wrong. We LIBERATE people from oppresive regimes and tyrants who impose their will on them, and we give them FREEDOM.

Soros is so idealogically and morally backwards it's pathetic.

This gun grabber either has no clue what an open society is, or he knows and opposes true freedom.
