And .. after Friedman (on MTP) is practically quoting Rush (but of course he didn't say that), and saying that in order for the dems to look good - bad things have to happen for America. "That's just stupid."

Stunning!

And .. when Hillary was on her trip to Iraq and Afghanistan she evidently made some comment about one of the ministers there ..?? I only caught it in passing the TV, but what I heard the guy say was, "she's not part of the administration - we don't have to listen to her". I nearly FOTFLOL!!

So .. the dems have plenty of reason to be unhappy today - besides .. being unhappy is the normal state of dems.

The pupose of a lot of this "breaking away" stuff is not a NEWS decision. It's a marketing decision. A certain amaount of this "break away" format and pace is necessary to hold some people's interest and give it a sense of suspense and excitement to those with only a passing or perfunctory or non-existent awareness of real news events. If some of the hardcore news junkies on FR ran the Fox News programming format, I'm sure it would be extremely informative, poignant, and pithy. But, I'm afraid overall viewership would take a dip. And without the eyeballs and the advertisers, you wouldn't have a venue to do the hardcore news stuff.

Actually, I am very interested in the Jackson trial, as are countless others; just not 24/7. Whatever the results, it will have far-reaching ramifications re the ability to prosecute pedophiles. Jackson's technique of targeting young boys who have no other strong father figure in their lives is a classic means of finding such victims.

I'm also interested in what's going on in Lebanon; unfortunately, I don't thinik the majority are.

Doubt that the outcome of the Jackson trial will be any more significant than the outcome of the OJ trial.

I am also interested in the Michael Jackson trial. I want to see if our justice system can handle such a "superstar" taking advantage of his wealth and fame to lure kids in this way.

There is something about this trial that encompasses a lot of what is wrong in our present "culture" (if you can call it that!).

Since the opening statements are going on, I am not surprised at the media coverage today. But, I do hope that we are not indated once the trial gets under way.

Do Fox and the other channels normally carry the daily White House Press conference?.... or just when some major event maybe discussed?.. or not normally at all?

What's the deal with FNC? They are more like the tabloid papers and continually shoving this stupid trial down our throats!!?? The NATION does NOT CARE!!!

They aren't Number One across the board by NOT knowing what America wants to watch. Something to consider.

Someone needs to start a very public thread so they'll get the hint.

And if that thread has millions and millions of unique posters, enough to counterbalance all those viewers out there lapping up their coverage, then maybe it'll make a difference. What's the record for posts on an FR thread? How many freepers are there?

You have to expect some tabloidism from a Murdoch station, unfortunately.

Fox has a bent to tabloidism at times, which is no surprise since Murdoch owns it.

You just have to take the good with the bad.

Unfortunately, this major shake-up is not "interesting" enough to warrant much coverage on FNC, whereas CNN considers itself the "serious news people" and so they are giving it more coverage.

I am sure Brit will cover it thoroughly tonight.

Let me know when it's safe to turn on the tv, I really don't want to see MJ's freakoid face this late before I go to bed.. actually I don't want to see it ever. When will the lsm learn that we want to watch what's important to our lives instead of nonsense that appeals to idiots.
