You show me a child molestor, rapist, etc....and I will show you someone who grew up surrounded by that kind of material.

That is someone's daughter you are watching, a daughter who was more than likely molested as a child herself.

That is how so-called "adult entertainment" effect children.

I don't think you're going to accomplish that by hijacking threads.

Then why do you subscribe to XM?

Uh, because they provide digital quality, a multitude of stations, and coverage in remote locations.

On many of their channels (e.g. #47 Ethyl) the music is uncensored, and so without warning this stuff gets broadcast.

If another service was available without the profanity I would dump XM like a bad relation. But XM has a veritable monopoly on Satellite.

The FCC broadcast rules at present are far from tyrannical, and if they apply to cable and satellite the public can only benefit from being deprived of smut.

I dont want the FCC telling me I cant watch Saving Private Ryan and if you cut every tit out of every scene on cable you wouldnt have any movie left that made any sense. Learn to use your remote or get up and turn the TV off and take your family to church.

Protect children first, last, and always

Abort first and then you dont have to worry about the last and always. Protect the children is a defense for the totalitarians. Cant take care of your children yourself, you want Hillary to do it for you? What's become of personal responsibility? Jeez Clinton gave you the V-CHip, a rating system and the FCC gave you $500,000 fines. Is it to much to change channels or turn the TV off? Why not set the Fing V-CHip you demanded for the children.

You know the profanity is there, yet you pay for your children to hear it, and then complain the the Feds should "do something" abou it. Hoo-kay. Just trying to understand the mindset.

I do not want to single anyone out, but I normally get these kinds of reactions from people who are doing things they would not want their chidren to know about.

Kids do not suffer because they can't have the latest electronics, kids suffer when they do not have a stable, two-parent home

Kids suffer more from lack of food or adequate health care than they do from hearing the F word or seeing a little clevage while mom and dad are snoozing on the couch. Learn to take personal responsibility. Also dont you trust your kids? Didnt you raise them properly? You think they are going to act differently than you if they should accidentally trip across this material? WEll then that is YOUR FAILURE. Take responsibility for your kids, dont give them to nanny governement.

So what? There are lots of things adults do that aren't appropriate for children, and not all of them are bad.

You mean like the church council president in Witchita KS, the BTK killer. Show me a Christian and I can probably show you someone who grew up on that material. In most cases they grew up and got over it. What a person grew up with hardly means that they are going to become a child molestor. You are spouting absurd nonsense but then you are a more moral than thee moralist so that explains all.

I do not have children, yet....you know, just got married, trying to plan, do things the right way...or at least what used to be considered the right way....anyway I will NEVER do anything that I would not want my children to do. I am not talking about something they see in passing on tv....I am talking about parents and so-called adults who partake in activities that harm children.

If perverts didn't buy this stuff, it would not be sold.

So are you saying you cant resist the porn if they dont take it off cable. Are you saying you are a porn addict and require the government to save you and your kids from your evil grasp?

If only ALL kids grew up and got over it, but as we can see, some do not.

I know we all look for justifications when we are doing things we should not be doing. Please know that I am not referring to you.

I just hope people realize that the girls they are watching were more than likely abused as children.

It has been my experience that if it is not appropriate for a child then the adults should not be participating either. Name me something that adults do that is not bad but is also not appropriate for children?

Please don't say sex....I do not have sex out-of-wedlock and when my future children are married, they are welcome to have sex.

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Senate Commerce Committee Chairman Ted Stevens said on Tuesday he would push to apply broadcast decency standards to subscription television and radio services like cable and satellite.
What a steaming pile of horseclinton. By definition, these channels are only going to people who specifically order and pay for them. "For the children" isn't even an excuse here....they are trying to enforce their version of "decency" on adults. Such should be forbidden not only by the First Amendment, but by the Second.

What's your opinion on 'cornholing.' Is that O.K. with you or should we ban the word 'cornholing.' Is so, what sort of language can we use in the anti-cornholing legislation.

http://www.defamer.com/hollywood/tv/networks/index.php#fcc-on-arrested-development-cornholing-isnt-just-for-sodomites-anymore-034543

Michael Copps, the democratic anti-indecency fanatic at the FCC would like to know. Michael's trying to cornhole the public.

Just remember that those girls on those videos and in those magazines were more than likely raped and molested as children by the worst society has to offer.

Oh, I know, children really don't matter...screw 'em, adults deserve to live their lives and the children can go jump off a cliff. By gosh, I have a "RIGHT" to do as I please!

I just like to keep reminding people that a lot of societies ills could be cured if we started shaming the appropriate behaviors.

F- shame. "Shame" is nothing more than an excuse for busybodyism. Busybodyism given the authority of law is just another form of authoritarianism.
