The sad fact is that background checks are not routinely performed in martial arts studios and other sports and arts performance studios.
Then there is the problem of putting children on trial for reporting a molestation. While alleged perpetrators are entitled to their day in court, the victims are forced to experience the abuse again and again.

All too true. Then there is the fact that many children aren't believed, or if they are and it goes as far as the pedophile being convicted, they need to have much longer punishments/terms in prison. 5 years does not cut it. I can't help but become extremely cynical on this issue, one would think they WANT the kids in harms way! I mean, what does it take to run a thorough background check?
Between these issues and the indoctrination masquerading as tolerance in schools these days, what else can we think? The libs have the NEA sewn up, that's for sure!
