My scalp is getting tingly........
What do you think?
Poor lad, all you had to do was engage in real debate, alas ye chose to be a troll.
Welcome to FR, BTW.
Can you moonbats try and be a bit less transparent.
Bummer, I thought it was still around a thousand.
1,500 and counting. Is it worth it?Was D-Day worth it?
Why don't you go play in traffic...
Since Feb 21, 2005
The second one today. What are folks at DU doing, celebrating?
Their was this country in not so far past that trained up a group of longbowsman that defended their country. the longbowsmen could shoot futher than anyone so they could defend thenselves without being shot themselves. Time passed and for fear of the longbowsmen there were no attacks, but wouldn't you know it a day that they were attacked however the one time strong young men were old and fat and no longer able to pull the long bow. So yes the best way to train new leaders of tomorrow's army is live training today
As a family with active duty children, ABSOLUTELY IT IS WORTH IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Our soldiers die to protect people like you. And all you can say was it worth it? That is the way you show respect?
You should thank God that we have brave young men and women who love America. Brave young men and women that love you enough to serve our Country so you and yours have a safe place to live. Go Repent and ask these soldiers for forgiveness.
Sigh. I'm sure the left will mark the occasion by once again pretending to care about the troops, and shedding rivers of crocodile tears, for their own anti war stance.
Uh...what do you think?
You probably think the deaths of millions at the hands of Lenin, Stalin, and Mao was "worth it".
That's exactly what these weenies are doing. They hate these heroes who have died....and the country they represent. In actuality, they couldn't care less if it were 1,500 or 150.
As a former soldier myself...I ask you how many did those 1500 save?
Hundreds of millions? I'm thankful for them. I'm thankful we have a President willing to defend this country from crazy islamofascist scum. Are you?
It's self-serving idiots like yourself who can't see beyond your pathetic self-righteousness to understand that freedom comes with a price. You tipify the liberal mindset of suckling from the pap of society without bothering to contribute to its development and growth. You feel entitled to live in a perpetual comfort zone without regard to the downtrodden of the world. It galls you to see the Bush Doctrine succeed. It galls you because it proves that your thoroughly imbecilic view of the world is nothing but a path of destruction for freedom across the globe.
Here's a quote from a soldier:
I thought we were some serious heros fighting a terrible regime, and I felt damn good about myself, my goverment, and my country. Looking back now, and playing connect the dots, I see some greivious errors in the Department of Defense, and the U.S. invasion of the soverign nation of Iraq. So what I want the American people to discover is the truth. From the soldiers mouths. Not from someone's mouth who spent a few hours having Thanksgiving in Baghdad.
The crocodile tears were out in full force at the Iraqi elections in January ("Oh, what a sham election!" "How could we force democracy upon the poor Iraqis at the point of a gun?" "This is a dark day for democracy" [yes, that was a DU quote on election day] "They're not really free...they're slaves to the U.S. and Halliburton. Boo hoo hoo hoo!") Liberals are no friend of freedom, I guarantee you.
Join and find out.
We can always find a negative quote. And along with that are so many of our soldiers who STILL feel their mission has tremendous merit and success, and who want us to hear the truth from them....and not the "media".
The DU knuckledraggers are just pissed the magic 1000 number didn't get Skerry elected. They take a sick pleasure in every US death, and yern for us to fail. They are letting the " we support the troops mask " slip, and their real face, the one that spit on the troops, and chanted for their enemies to win in the 60's is slowly coming out again. They can't help themselves.
Your post is dead on. Liberals are the polar opposite of the American soldier. They hate everything they stand for. They could care less that some of the greatest of our men are doing without to keep them safe. They would rather just go to Starbucks...watch Reality TV...and complain about their effing social security and prescription drug handouts.
mudering = murdering.
It is a crime that 1500 had to die so that you may live free to breed more like you.
What's interesting about that is if you look at the US Senate, more Democrats (generally liberal) served their country in the military than Republicans. Why is that?
I'll tell you why. They can talk the talk, but they can't walk the walk. Just call them "chicken hawks".
Ever heard of a war where nobody got killed?
While every soldier's life is a precious thing, no one with a military background can deny that keeping the casualties in Iraq down to ONLY 1500 is an outstanding achievement.
What makes you think that it's over?
Are we talking John "Rice Sack" Kerry caliber of service? Or are we talking about John McCain caliber of service?
Between Kerry and Cleland, I wouldn't be bragging about who served and who didn't.
That's about half of the number who died from about 0840-1045 EDT on 9/11/01.
What was your point again?
You ask if it's worth it. It may not seem so to we who are here in relative safety from the maniacs who are intent on breaking down any sort of civilized society in the Middle East. I'd venture to guess, however, that the majority of Iraqi citizens think it is, and so do the soldiers doing the fighting because they are being thanked by those citizens every day for freeing them from the bondage of the tyrant.
John Kerry being one of them. You do know how he served his country, don't you? By meeting with the North Vietnamese during a time of war. By associating with Communist groups. By "earning" three Purle Hearts in, like, two days - including nominating himself for one of them after being turned down by his commanding officer.
By publicly lying and selling out his comrades, EVEN AS THEY WERE BEING TORTURED AND KILLED.
You're pathetic. As is he.
Well, the death toll for American GIs in Iraq has reached an appalling 1500....
Any bias, ya think?
We have a winner!
Want to get into statistics????
Even though Chicago had a workable sewer system, in 1885 a massive four-day rainstorm caused sewage to flush far enough into Lake Michigan to invade the citys water intake cribs located several miles offshore. An estimated 75,000 people perished from the resulting contamination, about a quarter of the growing citys population.
I'm not exactly sure why this came to mind:
Is thte "a soldier"'s name Michael Moore?
I loved your quote, too, but Veni just nudged you out. ;-)
There were probably a few soldiers in other wars that had a negative view point. Iraq voted the first time in a free election in over fifty years, I think that says more than anything you could ever dream up.
I will always respect the good men and women of our military. We need them and they need our support.
And I support them whith all my heart, and you should too.
... "and counting" ... like misers count their money, with expressions torn between glee and worry.
You Bush-hating leftists just can't wait for a new milestone number so you can point your cowardly fingers and then wring your hands... because, of course, this news isn't about soldiers fighting for international security from terrorists and WINNING freedom for people in an oppressed region, but it's all about YOU and your anti-American agenda.
