Iraqi sources: Al Zarqawi arrested
Albawaba ^ | 3/6/05

Posted on 03/06/2005 1:49:47 PM PST by TexKat

Iraqi sources have told a Saudi newspaper that al-Qaeda's man in Iraq, Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, has been arrested. Al Watan daily said Sunday that the official announcement on the arrest was delayed until a new Iraqi government is in place. The purported arrest supposedly took place on the Iraqi - Syrian border, the report added.

It should be mentioned that CNN aired on Saturday new pictures believed to show al-Zarqawi, who is America's most-wanted man in Iraq.

The Saudi paper said that the arrest of al-Zarqawi was completed ahead the recent visit of US Defence Secretary Donald Rumsfeld in Iraq. This visit took place early February.

I have come to the conclusion that all terrorists/insurgents in Iraq have changed their names to Zarqawi. That way, whenever we capture or kill one of them, we are deluged with reports that Zarqawi is finished. "In Fallujah, we have captured 4,000 Zarqawis and killed 1,500 Zarqawis..."

At least during the numerous anthrax alerts, we had FReeper Registered's hilarious "ANTHRAX!" poster guy.

This is getting lame. Wolf, cry wolf. Ping me if it turns out to be true...

Just in case it turns out to be true, the UN, ACLU, MoveOn, etc., had better get cracking filing legal cases to insure he's treated with kid gloves and none of his precious rights are violated, like being denied anything he wants while in custody or having to be embarrassed in any way. After all, he's only a vicious mass murderer of countless innocent people, so we wouldn't want to make the poor widdle baby uncomfortable.
