The Sun ^ | March 7, 2005

Posted on 03/07/2005 7:35:31 PM PST by joan

FIVE hundred British troops were last night rushed to Kosovo amid fears of a new explosion in ethnic violence.

The men from the 1st Battalion, The Royal Green Jackets have been deployed after an urgent request from NATO.

Commanders of the force in Kosovo want to make a show of strength as tensions rise.

The Green Jackets will patrol the capital Pristina to keep ethnic Albanians and Serbs apart.

This time last year 31 died and 500 were wounded in violence.

Some have been wondering if the Ramush Haradinaj indictment will cause Albanians to riot.

And how many churches were destroyed while the Nato troops looked on?

Oh, come now, everybody know Bill Clinton brought peace, sunshine and happiness to the Balkans back in the 90s.

Albanians have a street named for Clinton, called something like President Clinton Boulevard, in Pristina. They also have a big mural of him on the side of a building in the city. Further they have statues of him and Tony Blair, and they've named their children after Madeleine Albright.

Who might "some" be? It is interesting that Kosovars keep such close tabs on Lebanese affairs.

Long time no see Torie on the Balkans threads. Say, weren't you the one just salivating over Milosevic's trial saying you couldn't wait to watch every minute of it. So...how much have you watched Torie? Is it going as you thought? Torie happy?

I never said that. What I did say is that I was looking forward to Slobo being removed to The Hague and tried, along with his buddy perps, and any extant perps of other ethnic groups, including Croat perps. I hope that helps.

Is the trial being televised?

Just read what you and your jackbooted thug hero, Hoplite said. But I bet neither of you have bothered at all to watch, and it can be seen through the internet.

I'm going to enjoy watching that son of a bitch squirm and make a fool of himself.

There's nowhere for the cockroach to run to now, and the lights are all on him.

I just knew slobo, when he was to make his plea, would go into his illegitimacy rant at this inappropriate time, and the sound button would need to be turned off, and that his not quilty plea would have to be entered for him. It was all so predictable. Slobo will have his time later to launch into his tirade, assuming his fired lawyers remain fired which I doubt, and we will all get to savor the spectacle.

I had long forgotten that post. I would have indeed savored Slobo launching into a tirade about why he should not be tried, but alas if he did, I missed it. I never had any intention of watching the trial. I have to work for a living. You were extrapolating. Shocking.

By the way, calling Hoplite names is a sure sign that he has kicked your butt again and again. Hop is simply awesome in action. I will remain forever dazzled by his knowledge and talent. In the art of cut and thrust on FR, he is simply primus inter pares. Pity that so few are interested in the Balkan threads and thus don't get the opportunity to see his talent in action.

By the way, the fruits of Slobo's policy and Serbia's intransigence to just fess up to the truth, is writ large. You know what that is don't you? Yep, you guessed it. Albania has twice the per capita income of Serbia at present, and Serbia is the economic basket case of Europe. Sad.

>>>>>Who might "some" be? It is interesting that Kosovars keep such close tabs on Lebanese affairs.<<<<

Can you enlighten us who are "Kosovars" ? Are you refering to Albanian ethic minority in Serbia, illegal aliens from Albania who reside illegaly in Serbian province of Kosovo and Metohija, or both?

In any case, Ethnic Albanian in Kosovo province is called Shqiptar in their native language, Albanian or Kosovo Albanian in English.

When ethnicity of Kosovo inhabitant (Albanian, Serb, Gorani, Turk, Croat, Jew, Bosnjak)is not emphasized, the English name is Kosovan or Kosovoan, not KosovAR.

In your English usage, do you call illegal Mexican immigrants in California "CaliforniARS", Cubans in Florida "Floridars", and citizens of Idaho IDAHARS?

If not, why not? Let me guess, your line of business is spreading of terrorist islamic propaganda on FR.

"KOSOVAR" is ploy to represent Albanian minority as PEOPLE, SOLE INHABITANTS OF KOSOVO, with EXLUSION OF ALL OTHERS The same ploy as the use of name PALESTINIAN to falsely present Palestinian Arabs as sole inhabitants of Palestine.

The use of word "KOSOVAR" and "PALESTINIAN" in English language is signature of Islamic propagandist at work.

Thanks for the lecture. It reminds me a bit of Ward Churchill's lectures. Among other things, ethnic Albanians have been is Kosovo in large numbers for hundreds of years, and became a majority there by the 19th century, if not earlier. I don't know where you got this "illegal alien" thing from. Oh yes I do come to think of it; it's from the now totally discredited team Slobo propaganda apparatus.

Torie, if you read something else besides Noel Malcolm's and KLA drivel you would know the answer.

For remedy, read real historical books.

How Albanians became majority in Kosovo in 19 century? Does it has to do something with killing and forciffully assimilating Serbs in Ottoman-occupied Kosovo?

How Albanians managed to become 90% of population of Albania in 20th century, in less than 100 years ? It is known fact that Shqiptars (i.e. ethnic Albanians) were slightly over 50% population in Albania in 1912.

How to break it gently, your arguments suck. The only thing you hope is that insults will create knee-jerk reaction ("ward churchill" , Discredited team Slobo propaganda aparatus")

Just curious, how do you call yourself, KosovAR Shill or propagandist Shqiptarit?
