I hope he is proved wrong with this "prediction"
I like the fact that this guy dislikes Clarke.

Both of them can pound sand as far as I'm concerned.

***In America's democratic system, bin Laden said, U.S. leaders are elected by the people and stay in office only if the people support their policies. Arguing that the U.S. policies perceived by Muslims as attacks on Islam have been in place for decades, bin Laden said it is clear that the American people as a whole approve of anti-Islamic policies. "The American people have the ability and choice to refuse the policies of their Government and even to change their Government," bin Laden said in October 2002, "yet time and again polls show that the American people support the policies of the elected Government." On this basis, bin Laden warned Americans on four occasions between mid-2002 and October 2004 that they would be responsible for any military disaster that befell them if they did not elect leaders who would change the policy status quo. ***
So, by that logic, bin Laden should welcome a poll among his fellow Arabs and see if he has a majority support. I'm pretty sure he would be "voted out" by a large margin. Oh wait, that's right, he does believe in power to the people. Only power to the self-righteous killers of the innocent. My mistake.
Okay, bin Laden has warned us. Now he should be warned: the history of islam on this planet will be forever altered should he inflict another major blow on America, that alteration will be for the much, much worse, and he and he alone will have been responsible for it. His name and the name of his family will be cursed by subsequent generations of muslims (should there happen to be any).
"approve of anti-Islamic policies" YOU BETCHA I DO !
Still, the quotes he attributes to the radical Islamists makes it difficult to resist the urge to enjoy the idea that they'll spend an eternity in Hell (weeping and gnashing of teeth and all that).
Sounds like wishfull thinking by a Clinton butt boy. As Chief of the bin Laden Unit at the Counterterrorist Center from 1996 to 1999 he obviously was a failure.
It's not like they need any carefully contrived excuse to attack us. If anything, Bush's recent pressure on the Saudis and Egyptians to Democratize is going to greatly complicate their situation.
But geez, who was chief of the Bin Laden unit in September 2001??
Not sure, but isn't this Scheurer one of the two that the new director's assistant went to see a few months ago, and told them to straighten up. Scheuer had a tantrum, next thing you know they both `resign'?
About time the agency was shaken down. It was like the State department under Halfbright . .

What planet do you live on? Too many muslims already in this country to do anything about it. The enemy is here, among us and they continue coming in droves.
Okay, this guy had me thinking, right up until I read who the author was and then I understood what this was all about. Moreover, what more evidence do you need that Al-Qaeda desperately wanted a Democrat elected President! Scary.
Look, I believe we are doing everything humanly possible to get Zawahiri and bin Laden. We ain't convertin' to Islam, and there are simply too many things in life that are beyond our control.
Of this I am certain, they serve a false god, and my God is the true God who holds the world and all its events in his hand.

I suspect that you're over-estimating the abilities of muslims and under-estimating the ruthlessness of a non-muslim Western society which perceives itself threatened.
I hope we don't have to find out which of us is correct, though.
Pollyanna vs. chicken little
I think a "Pollyanna" is someone who sees the bright side of everything-- an optimist. Your description falls more into that of a "chicken little" (sky is falling/alarmist).
But then, I don't get off the farm much.
He sure did a hell of a good job. With credentials like this, this guy is to be taken seriously (/sarcasm)
