Clinton assails ``epidemic'' of media sex and violence Wednesday March 09, 2005 By DEVLIN BARRETT Associated Press Writer

WASHINGTON (AP) Children are suffering from a ``silent epidemic'' of media sex and violence, Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton argued Wednesday in calling for closer scrutiny by parents and government of what kids watch and play.

Speaking a day before her husband former president Bill Clinton was due to undergo a follow-up surgery for a heart bypass operation six months ago, the senator argued the public health was threatened by increasingly raw media content. Clinton, D-N.Y., focused her critique on the new media that some parents worry are a bad influence on children: violent video games, the Internet, and sexually explicit television programs.

``This is a silent epidemic. We don't necessarily see the results immediately,'' Clinton said at a forum hosted by the Kaiser Family Foundation.

Over time, she argued, the effects of such media-driven desensitization teaches children ``that it's OK to dis people because they're women or they're a different color or they're from a different place.''

The senator took direct aim at one particular video game, Grand Theft Auto, a series popular among players and criticized by parents for its crime spree role-playing.

Oh my! The Village has problems? Leave it to the Klinton Klan to come to the rescue.

Hillary, if you're truly that concerned about sex and violence, tell Bill to stop biting women while he dry-humps them.

Yeah - and it wasn't helped one little bit when her husband got the nation involved in whether oral sex is actually sex. And now there's nearly an epidemic of junior high school kids having sex in the school bathrooms. It's gotten so bad that lots of schools have had to lock the bathroom doors and only let one kid at a time in to use the facilities.

I was thinking the same thing. Several years ago, the epidemic was not on TV but in the Oval Office.

And what's this about government regulating what children can watch? Is she going to ban future media appearances by her husband?

This, from the delightful Clintons who gave us a new noun uttered by every 14 year old child: a "Lewinsky."

This, from the delightful Clintons who made oral sex into "not sex" for the children of America.

This, from the delightful Clintons who terrorized their enemies with violence, stolen FBI records, and intimidation (ask Catherine Wiley or the boys from Mena).

``that it's OK to dis people because they're women or they're a different color or they're from a different place.''

I'm going to hurl. Who is writing for this woman? Rappers-R-Us?

Has she noticed who, in a highly visible and respected office, might have CONTRIBUTED to the children assuming that "yee haw the crack of dawn ain't safe" sex is acceptable? Like her ignorant manslut husband?

*note to self: stay away from Hillary threads. They make you nuts.*

Tell Hillary that my grandchildren really enjoyed the expose on oral sex during her hubby's impeachment.

Personally, I really enjoyed the spotted blue dress which forced the truth to the foreground and proved that Hillary isn't the smartest woman in the world. She does "smart" though.

You may not like it, but she is on to something. Parents are fed up with having to raise their children in a cess-pool.

Waiting on the pro-porno crowd to show up and tell us they have a "right" to this filth.

Not that I would EVER vote for her, I have NEVER voted for a Democrat in my whole life.

But for those who think this doesn't play well with conservative moms and dads, you best think again.

My children were subjected to the media's obsession with sex - the news media's constant reporting of the President of the United States having oral sex in the Oval Office. This ignorant witch's husband caused my 11 year old son to ask for an explanation of these comments overheard on a news program. Mrs. Clinton - shut up, you low class, white trash, hypocritical enabler!

Coming from her, this would be laughable if it wasn't so true and such a terrible indictment of our child-raising in this country.

And I include myself in that indictment. I had no idea what was going on in some of these x-box games my teenager purchased and were labeled "teen". Unbelievable!

Oh, please, Hitlery! Sex and violence on TV? How about sex in the White House between your co-president and Monica Lewinsky? How about discussing Bill's consistent pattern of sexual harassment. How about answering the rape charges against your Bill by Juanita Broaddrick.
