This is good news. I've faced robbers twice in Illinois (once in Chicago and once in Evanston). I wish I'd had the option of being legally armed for protection -- but Illinois doesn't recognize my Indiana permit.
I am shocked. I think the last few elections have really ticked off the down-staters (rightfully so!) and they are tired of having Daley run the entire state. Cook County needs to break off and become it's own state.
