I moved to Largo, Florida in 1969. A low-income housing project was being built about a mile away on a mail drag, about 1 mile from the Gulf Beaches.
The project was nearing completion and the contractor put in sod for the common grounds. It opened on a Saturday, and when I went to work on Monday, I noticed that the clothes line polls were gone. When I came home that night, all of the sod was gone. many of the doors had been removed, and outside fixtures were mostly gone.
It later was reported that most of the electrical fixtures and wiring had been stripped, and all appliances were gone or out front for sale. Plumbing was ripped out and, for all practical purposes, the places were unlivable.
TWO FRIGGIN DAYS! Our taxes at work.
Please make that MAIN DRAG.
Darn spiel chakers.
