Tehran Times

TEHRAN – Iran’s Intelligence Minister Ali Yunessi here Sunday scoffed at U.S. incentives aimed at coaxing the Islamic Republic to drop its uranium enrichment program and declared that Washington’s overtures are ridiculous, irrelevant, and insulting.

The U.S. concessions, announced by Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, include an end to Washington’s opposition to Iran’s application for membership in the World Trade Organization (WTO) and a partial lifting of the ban on sales of some spare parts for Iran’s civilian aircraft.

“The offer is not only illogical but so absurd,” said the minister adding that the U.S. should apologize for insulting the Iranian people.

Oh enough of these sub-human medieval freaks. Send in the Israelis to end their nuke program and problem solved. And if the Eurotrash don't like it, they can shove it where the sun doesn't shine. Iran's ridiculous rhetoric and unwillingness to compromise on anything brought whatever happens to them via Israel upon themselves.

Iranians aren't Arabs - they're ethnically Persians and not related to Arabs. But you're right on the regime.

Freedom44 is correct. Many Iranians (Persians) do not consider themselves to be Arabs. Some were very gracious and polite about telling me so a long time ago.

Freedom44: May we call the evil, despotic leaders "Arabs?"

[Little simple American humor there.]

WE ARE NOT ARABS. THE REGIME IS BASED ON ISLAMIC-ARABIC IDEALS BUT IRANIANS ARE IRANIANS (PERSIANS), WE ARE NOT THEM.

Actually some of the main directors of the regime are from Arabic lands like Iraq.
The head of the judiciary is an Iraqi Mullah. And remember, those Mullahs who wear Black turban do not have Iranian ancesstors. Their ancestor is their prophet, Muhammad.
Any way, there are lots of differences between the people and the mullahs government.

I think that they are talking about it privately at their homes. Just wait and see what will happen after the fall of the Alawites in Syria in a couple of weeks...

None of "my people" (my family tree?) look that good!

BTW ... check out the Persian on the left. Looks like he is learning to like that a lot. ;)

I think a big key to the regime change in Iran will have to be through Lebanon and Syria.

We've got to divide up the alliances of the mullahs, and cut them down to size for their people!

Or just eliminate the mullahs and watch their alliance (Syria and Lebanon) crumble.

Interesting developments... The possibility of three aircraft carriers converging in the Middle East sector of the world. Maybe Bush and Co. are getting ready to blockade Iran in the next few months? Maybe also getting some extra firepower to make sure Assad goes down hard, once and for all.

I would tend to think that you would not use aircraft carriers to do a blockade. Iran would panic for sure, and I'm sure they would try to sink the carriers. Aircraft carriers are expensive, and that's quite an understatement. I'm sure you wouldn't want three of them getting smashed.

Or it could be a show of force - don't mess with us, or else..

Also interesting that the Iranian minister called Condi Rice a "terrorist" among other things. Sounds like the US State Department is finally doing something right. I can't recall our enemies ever calling Powell a terrorist. The reason sound be obvious.

Maybe things are going to work out after all. I have no doubt whatsoever that in the near future that we will have regime change in Lebanon, Syria, and Iran. The only question is how long, and what happens between then and now.

I'm convinced that the regimes will not go down without significant bloodshed. Unless the Iranian regime is overthrown soon, I think bombs and bullets are the only things that can overthrow the other two.

Let Freedom Reign!

(in Taiwan, too! That is, without starting WWIII...)

In the past demonstrations in Iran, people had noted that a lot of the militia attacking them and with chains and clubs beating them up DID NOT SPEAK PERSIAN. They were in fact Arabs and probably Hezbollahis of Lebanon.

This has been unprecented in Iran.

They mullahs' confidence and power stems from the support they feel certain they have from the Lebanese/Syrian Hezbollah.

Let's keep them busy on ALL fronts.
