Schiavo in 48 hour window

By: Bill McGinty

Video Story

Supporters like the Rev. Patrick Mahoney of the
Christian Defense Coalition say they expect people to
try to enter the Woodside Hospice to “rescue” Terri
Schiavo if her feeding tube is removed. The Pinellas
Park Police has officers stationed in the parking lot
and inside the front doors of the hospice in case those
threats are attempted.

The Florida Legislature is now working on a bill that
Governor Bush says he will sign into law that would
prevent the removal of Terri Schiavo’s feeding tube.
The bill should be on the floor for debate by mid-
Friday.

Terri Schiavo has been in what doctors call a
persistent vegetative state since she collapsed from a
heart attack in 1990. Terri’s Schiavo’s husband Michael
Schiavo told a local newspaper that Terri would not
want to live this way and that the government should
stay out of family business.

Sounds like the FLorida legislature should also act to deny the authority of Pinellas to pay police officers.

That would divert the cops from the Schiavo issue to their own "feeding tubes"!

Whatever's going to be done needs to be done quickly. We don't have much time left.

How long will she survive once the feeding tube is removed?

Is it just the Florida Legislature that's trying to pass a law or is the US Congress working at it too?

This is the US Congress but I was wrong if I said that Barney Frank was opposing it---

It is Jerry Nadler---sorry, but now Sheila Jackson Lee is opposing it---

What a crock--

She was able to last 6-7 days on the previous occasion, until the feeding and hydration was restored. However, she is probably in a more weakened state now. But, by the same token, this is a struggle between good and evil; a spiritual war. So she may be able to draw sustenance which we are not able to imagine.

(NO flames please; there is a lot of passion on this issue. I am ringing in with my personal thoughts.)

Sheila Jackson Lee just opposed this bill because she is afraid that down the road it would "interfere with a WOMANS RIGHT TO CHOOSE"--

In other words, the dems are using this as an abortion issue--with them everything is a slippery slope to ban abortions!!!

But they do not care if Terri lives---they want to wait and have hearings and comittee meetings first!!!

I hope that people will have hearts and see what's at stake here. I have no idea what that Florida judge and Mr. Schiavo are thinking.

May God forgive them, for they know not what they do.

Today on the Rush Limbaugh Radio Program, Rush talked about "Sanctuary Cities" in America for illegal aliens seeking sanctuary.

If our country is so concerned about those escaping brutal despotic tyranny, shouldn't we be also concerned for a defenseless disabled woman escaping the barbaric death order her evil adulterous husband has lawyered his way into imposing on his wife?

Is it possible for a City Mayor somewhere in Florida to establish a Sanctuary City for the Disabled?

iF 1000 citizens choose to disobey Greer's edict by carrying water to Terry the prisons in Pinellas will overflow. If 10,000 act with mercy against this immoral judgement the system will collapse.
