I just heard on channel 13 that the Chief Judge issued a stay on removing the tube.

Judge greer could not be located, something to do with a subponea.

Honest individuals do dodge subpoenas.

That is what he said and I heard him to. He said that we can rest eay this Palm Sunday Weekend and that this is not over. I have a feeling Congress already has lawyers ready to appeal to a Florida judge right now to put another stay on Terri's life so that the Subpeona may be issues and carried out! Gos I hope something happens! I can't any more of this drama! My heart is breaking for Terri!

The subpeona gives the US Attorney the standing to seek stay. Before the parents were making constitutional arguments. Now it is a question of the supremecy clause which is well settled that States cannot trump the Federal goverment.

[Constitutional crisis in process.]

We may predict the outcome. The federal government branches trump state judges.

Since when is the US Congress subject to a state judge?

You people really should read the constitution. States have powers over and above the feds. The feds have very few powers relating to the internal workings of a state. The state judge has every right to overrule the federal judge and that is the way it should be. You people are trying to break all sorts of laws, constitutional and other wise, to uphold your good intentioned but wrong headed views about Terri. SHE IS BRAIN DEAD. That means she can't recover.

She is not in a coma, coma patients sometimes recover, people who have no cerebral cortex never recover and this is Terri's condition as sad as it may be. She is never going to recover, she is not responsive regardless of what you have convinced yourself of. Let her go, let her find some peace.

Yes... and the silence from liberals is deafening. We've lost something precious in this country today.

Can't federal marshalls go in there? Shouldn't she be in protective custody until appearing before the committee?

If this order is immediate, someone sure had better be working quickly to get that stay.

Is Greer now committing (yet another) crime by tampering with a witness (or causing the tampering?)

I think Greer is making a huge, huge mistake.

You would think he would want this resolved in people's minds. If he is sure she is PVS, he should welcome the congressmen to investigate.

But why do these congressmen always wait so long?

Greer is in criminal jeopardy as well. His days on the bench are numbered.

Order states Congress can not override the ruling...looks like it's over

Claiming state sovereignty? That's a first, at least in my lifetime. If the rest of the state wanted her to die, I might believe it.

Look, I don't want to spread this too far because I want to keep the pressure on. But, as we've been saying, this is a feeding tube, it ain't a respirator. It isn't even hooked up all the time. At this point all that's going to happen is Terri is going to miss a meal and she isn't going to understand why... well we don't know how well she's going to understand. It's going to be ok. It was seven days last time before Jeb got involved.

Maybe so, however, the US Attorney has not done so.

I think Greer figures he can win this by saying that Terri told Michael that she didn't want to be kept alive. The thing that needs to be pointed out, loudly and often is that it took Michael many hears to remember this converstaion and that he had two children out of wedlock while remembering what his beloved Terri wanted.
