Conservative's Book on Supreme Court Is a Bestseller

The Supreme Court is not often the stuff of bestsellers, but in recent weeks a conservative lawyer's full-throated attack on the court has been flying off the shelves, reaching as high as third place on the New York Times bestseller list.

The 288-page book, "Men in Black: How the Supreme Court is Destroying America," by Mark R. Levin, arrived amid expectations of a pitched battle in Washington over a replacement for ailing Chief Justice William H. Rehnquist. It argues that the court's decisions in favor of abortion rights, gay rights, economic regulation and affirmative action have created "de facto judicial tyranny" and an economy "lurching toward socialism."

Tushnet's own book, "A Court Divided: The Rehnquist Court and the Future of Constitutional Law," was aimed at "the educated general public," ....Tushnet said he has not read "Men in Black" and does not know anyone who has.

Tushnet's own book argues that the court is a relatively moderate institution and chides writers who "cheer or boo" the court's rulings depending on their own ideology.

Tushnet urges us not to pay any attention to judicial "legislation" I take it.

I havent bought this one yet but will soon. The left, stopped or slowed at the ballot box, realized that they could set the agenda for their socialistic, atheistic, multi-cultural by controlling the SC. Mark L. has probably nailed it with this book.

The MSM is doing the same thing they did with the Swiftvets, trying to make something they don't like go away by not reporting on it. Their problems is that, just like with the Swiftvets, Levin's book is a seminal work that will have a huge impact. If the MSM was really dedicated to reporting the news and finding out what was going on, they'd be reading and reporting on this book all the time. However, they're so committed to preserving the courts' tyranny that they can't even bring themselves to report one of the most important stories that's out there. Instead, they spend their time interviewing Jane
Fonda about her new book, which will have no real historical impact or political significance.

Garrow is the media's favorite EXPERT on all things judicial and especially on the most vital and important (to the Left) of judicial decisions, Roe v. Wade, which he considers absolutely inviolable because it enshrines a right dear to the heart of all Americans. What a joy to hear that he hasn't even read the book which undermines everything he has lived his sorry life for.
