People who take our calls to congresscritters and other complaint departments---they usually merit a lot of slack, IMO. You never know what kind of abuse they got just before you called. Much less the aggregate of many hours of phone duty. I always make nice and give them a hearty "pat on the back" across the wires. I'd find experimental space flight less stressful than what they do.

There is a hearing scheduled in court today at 3:00 PM ET before Honorable Judge James D Whittemore in Tampa today for a restraining order to be placed on Judge Greer, Michael Schiavo and the Hospice of Florida Suncoast for denying Terri food and water. Please continue to pray. We are concerned why the judge is not alowing the immediate reinsertion of her feeding tube and is waiting until 3:00 PM ET. Please watch for further updates.

I also called Tom Delay's office. They are kind but offered no opinions. I was boo hooing when I called. Over come with emotion, I guess. They were kind.

Need my memory refreshed. Last time this happened, it also took them several hours to get the tube reinserted. Does anyone remember how long, exactly? She'd gone two days longer by that time...I remember the anticipation was intense.
I have been sending this to every constitutional argument I find on the web.
If the DCF in Florida had been doing their job in the first place, all of this would have been averted. There are statutes and policies in place for disabled Americans. 1. Hospice policy, procedures and services are for the terminally ill, usually a prognosis of 6 months or less. Terri Schiavo has been in a hospice for over 4 years and is definitely not terminal. 2. There is no precedent for removal of food and water strictly for being disabled. Medical professionals will tell you that those are removed only when a patient is terminal and only because it provides more comfort to a body that is already shutting down. 3. Disabled Americans are entitled to treatment and therapies (statutes won by the diligent efforts of the Kennedy women) and those therapies are not contingent on rehabilitation to normal but rehabilitation to the level that is possible. Terri Schiavo has consistently been denied those normal treatment and therapies available to every other disabled American, despite the 1.25 million dollars he had won purposed to her care and therapy. 4. Michael Schiavo et.al. had Terri Schiavo declared indigent shortly after receiving those funds and her care is provided by Medicaid – being housed in a hospice for over three years must be contrary to Medicaid policies.

I cannot find any substantiation that he was a Pinellas County Judge. He was a 13th Circuit Court Judge, Hillsborough, not Pinellas

Congress passed Terri's law last night shortly after midnight.
Bush signed it into law almost immediately.
It has been sent to a Federal Judge, James Whittmore(sp?)
He has called a hearing at 3:00pm EST
In the meantime Terri's Parents have ask for a emergency hearing to have the tube re-instated.
There is a lot of concern here on FR about the relationship of this Federal Judge with Pinallas County.
We are asking everyone to call JEB BUSH and see if he will/can take Terri in to protective custody.
