Shiavo is in Federal court now, right?

I think this has to do with the House subpoena.

This appears to be throwing out the Congressional subpoena of Terri on final appeal, but I'll check further.

Thanks for clarifying this. I think we are all sitting on pins and needles and the very word " Florida Court" sets us all in motion. False alarm. Back to our corners!!!!!

The words look like English.

Was this written by Lewis Carrol?

Legal secretaries are typically excellent sleuths, but bd476 is using her powers for good instead of evil...double bonus!

Does it look to you like the judiciary is circling the wagons?

Federal marshalls should go to Florida NOW, to secure the physical safety of Terri: 0) whose life directly threatened by irregular judicial actions intended to kill her; 1) who is or may soon be a witness before Congress; and 2) who appears to be the victim of an active, intentional, ongoing conspiracy involving the Florida judiciary itself to deprive her of her rights.

..so they can appeal now to Atlanta?..

unlikely, if this is a FLSSC ruling..since the fed. judge was appointed by the 'RATs, he may reflect their anti-life/pro-death mindset.

Well, if this is indeed the SCOFFLAws blowing off Congress, I remind them of their reasoning for their decision to strike down the law giving Jeb Bush the right to intervene for Terry Shiavo, that the Legislature and Executive branches overstepped their authority.

Now it seems that the SCOFFLAws have overstepped theirs. Time to hold some people in contempt of Congress.

Yes. This is building toward a Constitutional crisis. Who is in charge?

You should take this off breaking news, this has nothing to do with what happened in congress last night. This may confuse people thinking that they are ruleing on the congress action.

We are beyond State court now.. This ruleing means nothing.

This is a ruling from the Florida Supremes on the petition of the US House to request any and all appropriate relief regarding its subpoenas from the House committee. The court is basically saying the House has not alleged a basis for the Florida Court to have jurisdiction over the matter. In a sense, they are correct. The matter really belongs in federal court.

Okay, thanks Nick and everyone. Do you have a suggestion for an amended title so that I can ask the Admin Moderator to change the title to prevent undue upset?

Whatever it is, it appears to be stale as it were. I guess there were some more dangling participles as silly as the subpoena thingie. The foreplay is over. We are now down to brass tacks.
