I actually remember a time when Delaware was not considered a northeast state, liberal or not. Times have truly changed.

There are still pockets of right wing conservatism in Delaware, but unfortunately they are totally negated by the socialism of the more populated city of Wilmington. Some of the Democrats in Sussex county are further to the right than I am.......and by far more conservative than the Republicans of northern Delware.

Everytime my husband sees Biden on the TV or reads something about him he gives me an evil look to remind me of the time I wouldn't let him hit the gas pedal as biden stepped out in front of our Jeep Cherokee in downtown Dover.

Please understand, my reasoning had nothing to do with protecting biden.........I didn't want my husband in jail or the front end of the jeep ruined.

Actually I think the widow Clinton would be a far more formidable candidate. She could keep the Clinton base, solifiy her place as the most prominent woman in American politics, and ditch at least some of the Clinton negatives in the process. Can't you just see her in a black dress, manfully holding back the tears and they wheel Slick down Pennsylvania Ave. in a horse drawn hearse? And thereafter whenever anyone tries to bring up any scandal from the past Hillary just looks pained and sad and says "Bill is dead now, can't those who hate him leave him be now?" with the whole news cycle being not about Clinton scandals about about how unfairly the GRWC is attacking a poor widder woman?

I wish Slick nothing but the best, at least until the polls close in November 2008.
